PROLOGUES
That afternoon the sky looked so bright, with a tinge of orange color left behind as the sun began to set. Its slightly warm light crept between the thin window curtains, the soft wind blowing swayed the reddened leaves of the maple trees and began to fall. Soon the next season will come.
It is his fourth autumn in this place, and probably his last autumn, if he sees his condition getting more serious by the day.
A middle-aged man who sat leaning back, stared with the sad face of the young man sitting beside his bed. The pungent smell of drugs is no longer bothering him, he is getting older and weaker, the hope of recovery is no longer what it used to be. He had felt enough just to see the people he loved accompany him in his last moments.
His eyes fixedly stared at the young man's face, then his dry lips gave a small smile. The man stretched out his hand free from the infusion to rub the young man's hair.
" You look so much like your mother.. " The old man said in a hoarse voice, "Thank God.."
Richard let out a heavy sigh and closed his eyes, his hand then gently touched the man's hand. Although smiling Richard knew very well if the man sitting leaning in front of him had been so hurt all along.
His name was Lucas Moura Salviano, the man who had taken care of him, the man he called father.
Richard could feel how the hand that was once so strong and full of muscles, now only left behind the bone wrapped in thin skin, the wavy black hair that the old man was so proud of now began to fade. He also remembered how dashing this old man used to be, but look now, to just sit back he needed the help of others. To be honest his heart felt so pained, seeing the person who had been his role model lying weakly waiting for death.
" Papa rest, I have a job tonight and I'll be leaving soon. Tonight Helio will accompany Papa. "
Richard then helped the man to lie back down, he looked at the pale old face with a slight fret. When it was felt that the man was asleep, Richard was preparing to leave after previously contacting someone he had called Helio to come replace him here.
But when he was about to reach the door, a voice made him stop with an increased heartbeat.
" Daughter, there's actually something I want to tell you. It's about your mother and also.. Your father's. "
Richard silently stared, before slowly coming back closer to the sickly bed, looking at the man with the look of his wounded eyes and mixed feelings. He has a bad feeling about it.
" My father is you" said Richard in a slow and raucous voice, as well as watery eyes.
" no.. I don't want to have regrets when I have to leave you. At least you should know the truth" said the old man weakly.
" What do you mean ?" richard asked, "The one who has been taking care of me and my brothers and sisters is you. I don't think it's gonna be any different whether we know it or not."
" No, Richard.. This is something important. You have to know the truth.. "
" Can you bring your other brother and listen to my story.. For the latter. "the man's hand was stretched out to touch Richard's arm, "Papa beg Ricard.."
Richard did not respond to Lucas' request and just waltzed away, not ignoring the old man. It was just that Richard felt he needed to fix his heart.

Lucas stared at the door that swallowed Richard with guilt, feeling that now was the right time to tell him the truth he had always kept.
The man, who was lying in a sickbed, was named Lucas Moura Salviano, an Italian who transmigrated to the United States with his siblings shortly after their parents died.
At that time there was nothing else Lucas could think of but going to another country, although at that time he was aware of what dangers awaited them when they arrived in his destination country. The United States became the first destination to cross Lucas's mind, after a day of cremation for his parents, Lucas sent a letter to a friend who was there. Lucas thought dying from the plague was better than being killed by a mad psycho in his homeland.
Yes, a secret of his father and mother's death that he never told Nolle and Maria. If in fact two of their parents were killed in a mass murder that occurred at the end of 1918, but the reason for Lucas' new murder is known when he returns from volunteering for war when world war two erupts.
Then in the end the three of them traveled a long journey from passing the ocean for months until finally reaching the port of Manhattan. Lucas was 20 years old, Nello was 17 years old, and his youngest sister, Maria, was 15.
Now almost 6 heads old, and 5 years ago Lucas fell ill and his condition worsened by the day, which made him a perpetual resident of this hospital.
A disease called Guillain Barre Syndrome suffered in the last 5 years, making him only able to sit and lie in bed. A rare condition that makes sufferers experience paralysis and weakening of the muscles, even now the condition is getting worse. To move his arm, Lucas had to work hard. And the bad news until now the disease has not been found a cure.
" I hope I still have a little time, at least to tell the boys about you" Lucas said, staring at a small figura of 4 smiling adults.
Lucas resigned if in the end he died of this disease, if there is anything he regretted is because there is one person he has not been able to meet for more than 7 years.
Unbeknownst to anyone, every night when Richard or his three younger siblings take turns, Lucas opens a book and writes there. A diary that he has filled in for more than 5 years, since he was sentenced to suffer from this unique rare disease.
While on the other hand, Richard pensively stared at the white door of Lucas's nursery, there was a kind of awkward feeling left in his heart. He did not intend to act like that in front of the person who had been taking care of him, but the truth that he had accidentally known a few months ago made him so angry.
" I don't want to know anything like that." murmured Richard in a whispering voice.
All this time he had been pretending that everything remained the same, but he did not think that Lucas planned to unlock the secret. Actually, Richard hopes that Lucas will forever hide the shocking facts from him or others. But it cannot be denied if part of him is also curious, he wants to hear directly not just from neat writing on top of an outdated book that is starting to turn yellow.
A story about a girl who falls in love with a doctor, then what goes wrong, when a district attorney tries to enter a gap in the love story that is not intact.
And the severity of the story has to do with his presence in this world.
