The Knight Eldania S2

The Knight Eldania S2
07: Eldania

"W-sister?" Knight Evan immediately looked at the boy beside him with his surprised look.

"Ah. So I'll just call Sir Evan, okay?" Ask Eldania back.

"No. I was just surprised. Many have called me lord of the knights rather than elder brother." Obviously Knight Evan. "So it doesn't matter, if you want to call me brother."

[Hmph.he wished I had called you brother. Too bad, I'm your brother!] the word Eldania in the heart. "But in any case it sounds more polite to Sir Evan's call." Her speech.

Diverting the awkwardness of Evan who realized that he himself suddenly expected the words of elder sister to come out of Eldania's mouth, Evan immediately walked away saying. "Ah...we have arrived, miss wait here." Said Evan.

They stopped right in front of another bar. When he saw Evan's knight go in there, Eldania who wanted to come in was actually given a sharp net by someone sitting there.

[Why is he looking at me like that? Can't I go in there too?] Her thought. With reasons as he had guessed, Eldania finally abandoned her intention to enter the bar because her goal of getting a job was already there, hence she no longer needed to look for a place called a Guild.

As for Evan's knight, he was already inside the bar. But the goal is not to drink, but to come to meet people he knows. His acquaintance happened to be sitting alone in the corner of the room.

"Oh.. Knight Evan, what brought you here?" Asked a red-haired woman, with a cigarette butt pinched between her lips, sucked it and then exhaled.

"I want you to spread this information to all the guilds." Evan answered while giving dozens of sheets of paper to the woman.

"Hm. Your master has never run out of money from the beginning of his leadership here." This woman said, while reading the contents of the sheet of paper she received from knight Evan.

The Helion Region was led by Duke Avrel and it had been more than twelve years during his leadership taking care of the monster-infested northern region. But during that time, the guild continued to receive requests to find mercenaries, with increasing pay. With a sense, that the treasure of Duke Helion never shrank even though it had been used for that long.

"This is the pay." He gave a bag of silver coins to the woman.

Seeing one thick pouch but the contents of all silver coins, this woman gave her most friendly smile to the knight Evan. "I'll take care of it soon." And seeing that the knight was about to leave, this woman asked again. "Why not sit here with me for a minute? Take your time to relax. Last time, it looked like four weeks ago."

"I'm sorry, maybe next time. I still have business to settle." Evan answered firmly.

"Ho...was it because of that girl?" Ask her while giving a meaningful smile.

Evan simply answered his potluck, from the smiley gesture he received from the woman. "That's how."

"Hm.kalalu so good luck."

"..................." Understanding the meaning of this woman's words, Evan immediately turned his face away and passed away going out of the bar. [He must have thought I had a relationship with that girl.] Evan thought. [By the way, I suddenly promised him a job, would you accept a stranger in his palace?] Thinking that it could be done later, when Evan came out of the Bar and was about to say hello back to the girl, the person was already out of place.

Both of her eyes were instantly rotated in all directions, and the only person still standing in the middle of the road, apparently the girl was already standing in front of the four-meter-high fountain.

Eldania immediately turned around, and there Evan was speechless.

KURRS.........KURRS........KURRS..........

"That-that's..." Evan was immediately stunned to see that one bird was sitting sweetly on the head of the girl and the rest of the two doves were sitting on both his right and left shoulders.

The three birds began to act by tilting their heads, before finally flying away as the girl walked towards him.

"Come on, we.go that way." Pointing to the right. There is a market, and as the name suggests many traders sell their merchandise.

Perhaps out of sympathy after passing through several taverns, Evan stopped right at one of the merchants selling bread.

"This and this." Evan pointed to two types of bread with a round shape.

"Two silver." Said the seller.

Evan immediately gave the seller two pieces of silver coins and after getting a paper bag containing his order bread, Evan gave it to the girl behind him. "Miss Eld. This is for you."

"I just want to give you this, and you're hungry too, right?" Evan said kindly.

Given the opportunity to get the good of others, whichever is not willing. So he immediately received a gift from Evan's knight, saying "Thank you."

Eldania stared at the six loaves of bread he was now carrying carefully, it was the first loaf of bread someone special gave today.

What did Eldania get by receiving the bread?

When he ate in his first bite, strangely the food he was eating had quite a good taste.

What makes it strange, there is a slight difference when Eldania once ate bread that is quite similar, at that time he had bought and ate all the bread himself, but the taste was said to be standard.

But when the bread he was currently eating was the result of someone else's giving, he actually got a pretty good taste. Though two times when feeling hungry both eat bread, but the difference is quite clear.

[A sincere gift from someone, making the taste of this bread also changed.] That's what Eldania thought. " Nyam~...nyam~...." The more he enjoyed the bread he received from the knight Evan.

"I've only seen you for the first time, it doesn't look like she's from here." Guess Evan.

Eldania's appearance in Evan's eyes did not look so shabby but not neat as well, but from his face was enough to show a tired person like just doing heavy work, it was successful in making him give sympathy.

"Yes. I just stopped by to look for a little extra money for living expenses." The answer is, when one loaf of bread is finished in three devours.

"In other words, miss won't stay here long?"

A nod becomes the answer. Eldania indeed basically deliberately stopped by for the sake of earning more money while being able to rest in a decent place even though she was the type of person who could sleep anywhere. But, if you can have the ability to make money and live in a good place, why not do it?

That's purpose.

"Oh yes...What kind of work can I get?" Eldania finally asked her question. He desperately wanted a large sum of money for a single job, so he had to know what kind of job to get in that short amount of time?

Evan who was also still confused because he initially wanted to take her to the palace and at least would make this girl become a servant there, this time after getting the reason why this girl needed a job, and at least, make him more confused.

Evan asked back. "That depends. What can you do or master?"

"Everything. Nyams.~........, nyam~......" Re-eating his second loaf of bread, Eldania again said. "I'll stay here for at least a week, but at least I can get a decent salary. Is there?"

Evan was then made to think hard [With a body like that, he said he could do it all? I'm in not sure it is. ] But finally, Evan asked again. "Can you clean up?"

"For me cleaning is the easiest job. But as long as sir Evan knows, I have no intention of becoming a servant." The answer, right at that moment.

[Sir Evan~?] Evan frowned, in the end called sir. "Can you read it?" Ask again.

Eldania momentarily fell silent as he felt that he was being underestimated by this knight. [He doesn't believe it? Do I look like someone who can't read or write?] So Eldania answered immediately. "Just say, I can do a lot of things."

"................, then, can you cook?"

"Can."

"If you can cook, will you be a temporary chef?" Ask Evan.

Eldania then looked at Evan's face quite closely while saying: "Is that how I can eat for free as well?"

"Of course." With the most friendly smile, Evan took Eldania to a place, which required her to go by horse.
