The Devil's Touch

The Devil's Touch
#161

Tessa sat on the sofa, occasionally staring at the bathroom door, and Daniel struggled with his belly wrapped around him from eating spicy bacon.

Tessa, who looks worried at the occasional watch on her wrist, has been almost thirty minutes Daniel has not come out.

"Did he die in there" Tessa murmured.

A few minutes later Daniel finally came out with a lethargic face holding his stomach. Tessa immediately approached Daniel and helped the man walk to sit on the sofa.

"Why didn't you say you couldn't eat spicy."

"How else, all the food you ordered was spicy" said Daniel weakly.

Tessa clucked. "I can order again."

The woman walked into her room only to take stomach pain medication in her bag. Although very fond of spicy food, but sometimes Tessa's stomach can be the same as Daniel now. So he always prepared the medicine in his bag.

Tessa came out of the room and gave the medicine to Daniel. "Drink."

Daniel took the medicine and put it in his mouth and took a glass of water on the table and drank it.

Tessa again sat in front of Daniel watching the man's slightly pale face by leaning his back against the back of the sofa.

"Want to see a doctor?" ask Tessa.

Daniel shook his head. "Looks like I need a room for tonight."

"There just so happens to be an empty apartment nearby" Tessa said.

"I can't even get up now." Daniel said quietly, closing his eyes and holding his stomach.

"If I die alone in the other apartment you want Tessa's responsibility? it's you, because of the food you ordered." Daniel looked at Tessa.

Tessa looks to widen her eyes. "You blame me? though you're the one who didn't say you didn't like spicy."

"Then let me stay here last night."

Tessa breathed out and finally relented. "Just so."

Daniel silently smiled at his smile."

"The guest room is there." Tessa pointed to one of the rooms not far from where they were sitting.

"Thank you."

Tessa just nodded and moved from her seat into her room leaving Daniel alone.

An hour later Daniel heard the sound of goods falling from Tessa's room. The man immediately ran to open the door of the woman's room, and Daniel had not yet entered the guest room. He sat on the sofa, occasionally looking at the closed door of Tessa's room.

Both of them widened their eyes, Daniel who was surprised by the sound of the falling item earlier and Tessa who was surprised because Daniel suddenly entered his room. Even though the item that fell was only a perfume that accidentally stung.

"How dare you go into my room, Daniel! out!!" Tessa pushes Daniel's body.

"Sorry, I'm surprised. I thought you were okay."

"What's the why? I'm fine!"

"Yes, sleep. It's late, why haven't you removed your makeup yet. You don't think sleeping with makeup on your face is that?"

"You're such a puffer!" said Tessa then closed the door to her room violently made Daniel a little jump in shock.

Daniel sighed and sat back down on the sofa with his back.

The next day Tessa came out of the room and found Daniel sitting on the couch with his laptop on his thigh. And Tessa knows, the laptop's hers.

"Daniel is my laptop!!" Tessa took the laptop on Daniel's thigh. The woman also saw her laptop.

"You're making a new novel?" tessa asked and sat down in front of Daniel.

"Yes." Yeah."

Tessa's eyes are still staring at her laptop, reading the novel Daniel made on her laptop.

"Title--"

"Meet him" Daniel cut.

"Is this a continuation of the series?" ask Tessa.

"Yes. After losing Bubu, Mr. D met him.

"Who do you mean by that?" ask Tessa who's curious.

Daniel smiled obliquely then took the laptop on Tessa's thigh. "You don't need to know, the novel hasn't finished. I promise you're the first person to read my novel, I'll try to finish it quickly to get in the publishing process."

Daniel's fingers are looking busy on the laptop keyboard, Tessa just silently watching. A few minutes passed, the atmosphere was silent, Daniel was busy with Tessa's laptop and the woman was just silently watching Daniel.

Tessa, tired of getting off the couch and opening the fridge, picked up some fruits and took them to the kitchen, washed some of them and put them on a plate.

He looked at Daniel sometimes. The man was completely focused on his new novel.
