Chapter 3: Mount Weiyin

"Isn't horrible? Those people turned violent and their eyes turned black. Their originally white skin turned greenish", gossiped one of the bodyguards in the Lin residence.

"really. And it all happened on Weiyin Mountain. Many people also disappeared after passing through the fog on that mountain. In fact, reportedly they turned into a terrible demon that disturbed the citizens at the foot of Weiyin mountain", the other bodyguard replied.

Lin Jiang who was walking into his father's study heard them gossip. The young man frowned at the conversation of the two bodyguards.

"What happened at Mount Weiyin?" the two bodyguards gasped at Lin Jiang's voice. The two quickly knelt down in respect. Their bodies trembled slightly from fear.

"Our respect to Second Young Master Lin".

Lin Jiang nodded his head. Receive respect for both. Lin Jiang again asked, "Is something really bad going on at Mount Weiyin?"

"In reply to the young master, in recent days many rumors circulated about strange human beings with completely black eyes and green skin around Mount Weiyin. The problem is that the creature can attack anyone he encounters. On their nails there is a deadly poison. To date, no one knows for sure the cause" explained one of the bodyguards.

Lin Jiang scrunched his forehead. The fan in his hand he flicked gently. Lin Jiang was trying to think about what was happening in Weiyin Mountain. The mountain has always been calm and a source of food for Shan city.

Lin Jiang continued his steps which had stopped. He guessed that his father would send him to address this problem. Weiyin Mountain also borders directly with the Lin clan residence. So, it was supposed that Lin Jiang was brought down in trouble this time.

"Greetings respectfully to father", Lin Jiang immediately saluted when he reached his father's room. There was also the elder brother, aka the first young master of the Lin family.

"Dad, thank your respect. Lin Jiang, I'm sure you've heard the news about the condition of Mount Weiyin, right?" Lin Xuan, the leader of the Lin clan, the father of Lin Jiang asked.

"It's dad", Lin Xuan nodded.

"Before father wanted to send your brother, Lin Yan to go there. However, there are other problems that arise. And I sent your brother to handle it. So, I want you to bring the Lin clan's elite troops to check the conditions on Mount Weiyin. If possible catch one of those creatures and bring it here. We need to be able to handle this matter well. Understood?" asked Lin Xuan.

Lin Jiang put his hands together, "Understand father. Lin Jiang will not disappoint father. Lin Jiang left" said Lin Jiang firmly.

"A-Jiang*, be careful. These strange creatures, we don't know how dangerous they are. Big Brother doesn't doubt your great abilities, but you must remain vigilant" said Lin Yan patting his sister on the shoulder.

"A-Jiang understands. A-Jiang will be careful. Thank you, big brother", replied Lin Jiang.

"You can leave now. Choose a bodyguard you'll bring yourself. Prayer father is with you", after being allowed to leave, Lin Jiang saluted his father and brother and then resigned.

Lin Jiang tucked a fan at his waist. His hand changed to grasp the sword that was on his left waist. The young man immediately rushed to choose the soldier who would accompany him to go to Mount Weiyin.

Afterwards, Lin Jiang and his ten chosen warriors rushed to Mount Weiyin on horseback. Lin Jiang's army looked extremely gallant and formidable. The soldiers were both elite soldiers as well as ordinary warriors, if from the Lin clan, then his abilities could not be underestimated anymore.

It took Lin Jiang's army thirty minutes to reach Weiyin Mountain. The condition of Mount Weiyin felt a little gripping.

Lin Jiang got off his horse. The young man tied his horse's rope to the tree that was there. He and his soldiers had to continue on foot.

Mount Weiyin was shrouded in a thin white mist. It is not dangerous, but quite disturbing to vision. This made Lin Jiang warn his soldiers to always be on guard.

A low growling sound rang out in Lin Jiang's ears. The young man further tightened his grip on the sword in his hand.

"Young Master, it doesn't seem like it's a wild animal" said one of the soldiers.

Lin Jiang nodded his head, "Right. That's not an animal snarl. But, like a human growl".

BRUGGH!!!

YOG!!!!!

"YAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

A very fast occurrence. Even Lin Jiang had no time to move. A human being lunged at one of his soldiers. Tearing it with her long nails. Biting and eating his flesh just like that.

Lin Jiang gasped. Immediately he took out the sword from its sheath and slashed at the back of the human who was attacking his soldiers. Blood dripped from that back. He stopped tearing and biting, but he didn't fall.

Lin Jiang was once again made to be shocked. The man turned around. He showed his horrible face. Eyes that turned completely black, parts of the cheeks that were torn apart like being torn apart, mouth full of blood and fangs that were sticking out.

His entire body veins were clearly imprinted. Greenish color adorns his entire body. The man growled furiously at Lin Jiang. Making Lin Jiang further tighten his sword grip.

SLASH!!!

Lin Jiang slashed back at the figure. Separating his head from his body. It worked! The figure instantly turned into dust.

His other soldiers froze in place. Their bodies shiver with fear. Their views are not focused. Keep on worrying while looking around.

"Don't be afraid! You must remain vigilant!" said Lin Jiang.

THEGRRRR!!!

GROARS!!!!

VAM!!

DUG!!! DUG!!!

KRAKK!!!

"AAAAAAAHHHH"

"PLEASE!!!!!"

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH"

In the blink of an eye, the troops Lin Jiang brought were split apart. The creatures sprang up suddenly and took the soldiers to a much more foggy place.

Lin Jiang himself was confused in his place. Everything really happened as fast as lightning. His view is not focused. Lin Jiang took out the bow he was carrying. With his strength, Lin Jiang formed an ice arrow. Throw it toward its target.

Unfortunately, every arrow released was always not on target. Lin Jiang could not see clearly. The originally thin fog was getting thicker. Lin Jiang could only hear the roaring screams of the soldiers he was carrying.

The ten soldiers he was carrying were caught by the strange creature. Shreds, bites, and chews rang out clearly in Lin Jiang's ears. But, Lin Jiang could not predict where those sounds were coming from.

The arrow he had slammed into seemed to deviate far from all the targets he had aimed at. Lin Jiang was overwhelmed with anxiety about his soldiers. Making his mind wander indeterminate. His eyes were becoming more and more unfocused.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"AAARGGGHHHH"

"YOUNG MASTER!!! HELP!!!!"

"PLEASE!!!!"

"AAAAHHHHH"

THEGRRRR!!!

CRUST!!!

Lin Jiang heard clearly the voice of the request for help and the scream. Accompanied by a very loud chewing sound. Like someone eating meat.

Lin Jiang sharpened his sense of hearing. The young man closed his eyes. He pointed his arrow towards the southeast from where he stood.

SLASH!!

HUUIIKKK

A shrill shrill sound coming from the strange creature sounded. Lin Jiang was a little relieved of successfully hitting his target. However, Lin Jiang was too focused on attacking to the point of not realizing there were two strange creatures approaching.

TRING!!!

SLASH!!!

BRUCK!!!

"Focus around. You almost became their meal too. You're sloppy!" out of nowhere it came from, someone banished the two creatures from attacking Lin Jiang and decapitated him.

"ZHOU LAN?!"
