SELECTION TEST

We're lucky, there's a minute left before the welcoming speech starts. Luce and I were looking for an empty seat. After sitting down, we were able to breathe.

Shortly after, the head of the Academy entered the hall followed by the other Masters and Madams. The entire disciples in the hall immediately focused and stopped their conversation.

"Welcome I say to all the new students of the Academy of Avior. I am the head of the Academy. You can call me Grand Master Harold. I hope you can learn a lot at this Academy. We will also work to educate you to become great magicians and warriors......"

Those are some of the speeches I heard from the head of the Academy. The speech was continued by the deputy head of the Academy.

"My name is Celine Flostrea. You can call me Grand Madam Celine. I will explain a little about the learning selection system in this Academy."

" First of all, you will be divided into several classes and then tested one by one for basic selection. The selection is a physical test as well as a test to assess how well you control which energy, basic elements, and your magic."

"If your basic element control and magic meet our criteria, you will pass the selection stage. Whereas if your basic element control is good enough, but not so good at magic, you will still pass the selection with additional classes at the weekend. However, if you cannot meet both of the above conditions you will be immediately disqualified. Do you understand?"

"When you pass the selection stage, you will get an official pin and be fully enrolled as an Academy student with Level-C status. At Level-C, we will strengthen your physique as well as teach you how to control mana energy more efficiently, how to master magic easily, and how to improve your elemental control."

"Then after passing Level-C, you will continue at Level-B. At this level will be held an exam to find a partner, and taught how to control the elements and magic of the middle to the end."

"Then the last Level-A. At this level you will get more field assignments and missions. You will be required to complete these field tasks well."

"If you manage to pass the entire exam and level stages well, you will pass as a Level-A or even a Level-S mage. If you fail to complete the Level-A examination stage, it will be declared pass as a Level-B mage. Until here I explained, is there anything you want to ask?"

I raised my hand.

"Yes, please sir."

"Will there be a test every time we climb a new level?"

"A good question. The answer is, there certainly is. Precisely once every 6 months, there will be a level-up exam. The exam is in the form of student battles between classes that will be determined by lottery. That's how we can go to the extent of your ability to develop."

"What if it fails?" ask me again.

"You have to stay in class, and will repeat in the next exam. But you have to remember, we will only give you 1 chance to repeat in each level increase. If you keep failing, you'll be expelled."

"Oh and also, specifically for Level-A there are 2 different level stages, namely junior and senior. If you successfully complete both stages well, you can take the graduation exam. The graduation exam will be conducted only once. If it fails, we will not give you a second chance and you will pass as a Level-B mage."

I nodded. "Well, thanks for the explanation, Grand Madam."

"Will anyone ask again?"

A man sitting not far from me raised his hand. "When will the selection exam be held?" ask the man.

Grand Madam smiled mysteriously. "The test will be held tomorrow at 08:00 a.m. Today you are free to rest or just go around the Academy. So enjoy your time and prepare yourself for tomorrow. Thank you." Thank you."

Finally the student reception was over. I was already standing and was about to leave, but Luce's voice calling out to me made my move stop.

"Raizeeel!!"

"Hm?"

"Wait for me, you walk really fast."

Luce ran up to me and grabbed my shoulder. I glanced at his hand that was embracing my shoulder.

It's not uncomfortable, it's just that I'm not used to it. Because I lived in a remote village first, Noran was the only friend I had. So it's kind of hard for me to adapt to a new person, especially looking at her face.

Shortly after, we reached the administration room and took our belongings to the dormitory. After that we walked to the dormitory of building 1-C and climbed the stairs to get to the 3rd floor.

We finally arrived. Luce opened the door of the room and entered first.

"Well, the room wasn't as bad as I thought it would be" Luce said happily.

When we first entered the room, we were greeted by a small living room. There is a long sofa, table, bookshelf, study table, and other equipment. There are two bedrooms in this room. The first room is on the right, while the second room is on the left.

I walked towards the left room, because I was closer to it.

As soon as I opened the room, there was a mini-size bed, a wardrobe and a small toilet at the end of the room. Hm, the room is simple and comfortable.

Well I guess I'll settle down here. I looked at the wall clock, at 01:00 p.m. I decided to take a shower for a while because the long trip made me sweat. After I finished the shower, I put myself in bed.

I'll meet Noran after a short nap. Hope no one bothered

"Raizeeel!!"

I forgot that I'm not alone.

"Raizel, let's take a walk around the Academy!!" luce said excitedly.

"I'm sleepy, you go alone" I replied lethargic.

"Aren't you curious about the girls' dorm? Hey!"

"Maybe you can even meet your soul mate there, Raizeeel..."

"Raizel are you sleeping?" Luce flipped my body, I closed my eyes.

"Well, how else..."

After hearing the door shut I opened my eyes.

"Sorry Luce, I'll see you in the afternoon."

I yawned for a second. I saw the clock on the wall pointing at the number four. That means I slept for three hours. I woke up and washed my face.

I came out of my room and I couldn't find Luce anywhere. Maybe he's still walking around the Academy.

I decided to take a walk out and breathe some fresh air for a moment. I went down to the first floor and saw many students passing by.
