Nalendra was busy chatting with Tea and his mother, without feeling it was almost dawn. Nalendra decided to pray at the nearest mosque, while Tea and Fatma prayed at home.
Meanwhile, in a separate place. After the Fajr Prayer, Niken was getting ready to leave the hotel. The feeling is bad since last night, what else Niken has not received the latest news from her Tanten about Tea leaving the house.
His car that had disappeared, last night was delivered to the hotel where he was staying. There is a miscommunication that occurs in the hospital. However, everything can be resolved.
"I've contacted my father and mother, they will follow to Surabaya later."
"Good, if they immediately follow us to Surabaya," replied Ardi who stood behind Niken, while installing a watch.
Niken seemed so rushed. Polishing her face with simple make up. Ardi also prepared himself. This is the first time Ardi has traveled to a distant place. Even so, it is still on the island of Java, but Ardi has never been to Surabaya.
After getting less good news from Tanteya who was in Surabaya, made Niken accelerate his journey there. Supposedly, there was still another week before her cousin's wedding was held.
That night Niken also directly called Mita and Bambang who were in Jakarta. They said they would soon go to Surabaya.
"Come on!" Niken was ready with a bag tucked in her shoulder. "Not until there is something left." Not forgetting he reminded Ardi to check his belongings back.
Ardi nodded, "I only brought a cell phone because we went to the hotel did not bring anything," he remembered that made Niken blush embarrassed.
"Yes too. Why have I been so excited since. There's just me."
Niken patted her forehead, before finally inviting Ardi to leave the room. Ardi first took out the room key, then he followed Niken who had been upset.
The two walked side by side, smiling at each other even though their minds were thinking about something else.
A few minutes later, the two were in the hotel lobby. Niken was standing in front of the receptionist.
"Mba, we will check out today," he said, handing over the room key to the receptionist, not forgetting the credit card he gave as a means of payment.
"Please wait, Mba," replied the receptionist while taking Niken's credit card.
Ardi approached Niken. "Hows it? Is it done?" tanyanya while embracing the wife's shoulder, as a form of attention to Niken.
Niken stared at the husband's hazel bead, "They were taking care of it. You take it easy, it'll only take a few minutes. We'll be leaving soon."
I don't know why his premonition wasn't good, like something bad was going to happen. Ardi wanted to quickly leave the hotel.
The receptionist staff continued to stare at the two, which made Niken and Ardi uncomfortable. Niken was eager to let go of Ardi's hand that was wriggling on her shoulder.
"Mba, Niken." Receptionist, call and Niken approaches. "Thank you for enjoying our service. May Mba and husband enjoy the journey."
"Thank you back." Niken took his credit card back. He and Ardi left the hotel.
When he arrived at the parking lot, Ardi's phone suddenly rang. "Wait on! Someone called me." Ardi immediately pulled out his phone from his pants pocket.
The number on his phone screen is unknown. Ardi hesitated to take the call.
"Assynolajet. Who, Yeah?" Ardi said hello to open the conversation.
Slowly his smile faded away, instantly his eyes rounded as someone at the end of the call there told him something. Niken instantly caught Ardi's expression change.
"What's wrong?" Niken approached her husband. "Who's calling?"
Ardi ended his phone call, "The hospital side called me and told me that Melati, trying to end her life."
Ardi's lips so vibrated when he said the news he had gotten from the phone connection earlier.
"Astaghfirullah ... Oh, my God, Jasmine. Why would he take such an action? I don't know what the snake woman's mind is!"
Suddenly his breath hunted, thinking of the action Melati took made him clench both hands. However, his emotions suddenly sagged as the sentence just came out of the husband.
"I'm sorry, I don't think I can come with you to Surabaya" he admitted, although heavy.
"Why? Whys? Do you want to see Melati?" guess who can see from the movement of the husband.
Ardi nodded without hesitation. "Sorry Niken, but I can't leave him alone. His family had already thrown him away and he had no one else. I beg you to understand the situation now. It's not that I don't want to meet your family in Surabaya, but the situation is now so precarious."
Sentence paused. He was unable to continue it when he saw the clear crystal begin to pool in the wife's eyes.
Hearing the statement, made his heart grow tight. For some reason, Niken wants to be very angry with her husband?
If only he could, Niken would very much like to say 'Why care about a woman who has clearly betrayed her trust? This is a ruse that Melati tries to play around with'.
Niken was eager to say this, removing all his strings so that Ardi realized the drama that Melati was playing. However, he could do nothing.
"Go! Right now Melati needs you. Make himself calm and tell him not to end his life."
Niken also added, he would go alone to Surabaya by taking a flight there. At least it will cut the mileage.
Ardi agreed. "thank you. You are a very good woman. Sorry for not being able to accompany you to Surabaya. Maybe on another occasion." Ardi kissed his wife's forehead. "Thank you again for understanding and sorry for disappointing you. Greetings to your aunt and cousin there."
After saying his message and without listening to Niken's reply, Ardi rushed out of the parking lot. Slowly the husband escaped his sight.
Niken was there alone. His body sank for a moment and fell on the ground. His eyes stared blankly at the object in front.
"Why are you doing this to me, Ardi?" Niken muttered with her whole body shaking. "You left me for a woman who had obviously betrayed you. Even you left without listening to my explanation first? Is that woman more important than my family, your own wife? Who's the lady? She's just your past, whereas I'm your halal woman ..."
Niken was crying there. No one saw it because the parking atmosphere was still very quiet. Niken roared trying to call Ardi back. However, his screams are unable to make Ardi come to him. His heart is so tight.
Niken wonders. Did her husband not think of her feelings as a wife? When a man is married, he is more concerned with other women than his own wife, how does his wife feel now?
