35. Rianna, wake up, baby!

Richard quickly ran over to Randy who was sitting crying hysterically.

“Kak Rich, adek.” Randy said pointing towards Rianna who had been lying on the roadside with a body drenched in blood.

“Ri.”

Richard crouched down then grabbed the weak body.

“Ri.. wake up. open your eyes.” Richard rubbed Rianna's face.

“Kak, just pulled my hand. Take me to brother's place.” In his tears Randy explained.

“Ri.. wake up. I beg you. Yes, God.” Richard clutches Rianna's body. The girl's blood had even soiled the t-shirt that Richard had used.

“Mas. Here's his son again one.” The ice cream seller came with Renatta who was also crying because he was just staying by Richard.

“Rena.”

Richard's outstretched hand grabbed Renatta's shaken body.

“You're okay, baby?”

Renatta did not answer. He became hysterical when he saw the twin sister full of blood.

“Anyone please call an ambulance.” In a deep panic, Richard shouted loudly.

“Ran.. You invite Renatta.” His orders were with Randy.

“Please. I beg. Please save Rianna.” Richard rose up while lifting up Rianna's body.

“Mas, it's his son again two how?” Ask one of the women who also picked up her son.

“Bu, I beg you. Please take care of my nephews. I have to take Rianna to the hospital.” Richard quickly walked to his car.

“Om.” Renatta's cry grew louder as he watched Richard leave him.

“Randy. What's up, son?”

Randy's homeroom teacher came over.

“My brother was in an accident, sir.” Randy said as he nodded while holding Renatta.

“Come, follow me. We follow your sister and brother.” The classroom guardian helped hold Renatta who continued to cry. The girl's clothes were dirty from the ice cream stains.

Renatta had not had time to enjoy his ice cream. Suddenly Richard let go and left himself alone.

“Mas, let me drive.” The school security guard came near Richard who had trouble opening the car door because the young man's hand shook violently.

Richard nodded. He then sat in the back seat holding Rianna.

“Rianna.. wake up. baby.. open your eyes.”.

Richard continued to rub and kiss Rianna's face. But the little girl did not open her eyes.

“Yes, God. I have neglected to look after them. I've promised om and auntie to take good care of them.”

Although not sobbing, but tears continue to flow out of Richard's eye bead.

Guilt mixed with panic now dominates him.

“You okay— Rena?” Suddenly the young man remembered Renatta. He was holding the hysterical body of the little girl.

Panic again attacked the twenty-three year old youth.

“Mas, his sister's two with the teacher. They've been following us.” The security guard who was controlling the steering wheel made a sound.

The middle-aged man knew what Richard was worried about.

Richard nodded. In his panic, he remembered to contact his mother.

“Ma, Rianna accident.” Say when the phone connection is connected.

“You where now?”

Mama Luna's voice sounded panicked.

“We want to go to hospital, ma.”

“Mama will be there. You don't worry.”

Richard decided on a call. Put the phone back in your pocket.

His hand rubbed Rianna's face.

“Ri.. wake up. open your eyes.”.

Rianna's been getting treatment in the emergency room.

“Kak Rich.”

Randy's voice rang out in the hospital hallway, where Richard was sitting waiting for Rianna.

“Randy, Renatta.”

The young man spread out both hands that still had traces of Rianna's blood.

“Kak, where's Rianna?” Ask Randy.

“Rianna is being handled, Ran.” Richard was no longer crying.

The young man turned to Renatta.

“You're okay, baby?” He hugged Renatta who was still sobbing.

“It's okay. There's om here.”

“Pak, Thank you for delivering my nephew.” Richard said to Randy's homeroom teacher.

“Sama-sama, mas. I also pray for the disaster that befell my nephew mas.”

Richard nodded.

“Rich.”

“Ma. Rianna.”

Mama Luna clutched the body of the son.

“Ma. I fear. I promised Roy and Aunt Dona I'd take good care of the kids. I'm negligent, ma. It's all my fault,”

Mama Luna shook her head.

“Rich. All of this has become God's will. What is the name of the accident, no one knows, when will happen.”

“No, mom. My fault. If I hadn't left Rianna alone in the school garden. Now we must be home.” Richard's voice returned hoarse. The clear water melted back out of his eyes.

“Let Renatta equals mama.” Mama Luna took over Renatta's body.

“Mama.” Whine Renatta while draping both arms on the neck of Mama Luna. Then hid her face in the curve of the adult woman's neck.

“Iya, darling. Mama here.” Mama Luna rubbed Renatta's back.

“Sister, how about Rianna's sister?”

Randy's existence is almost forgotten by the mother and the child, if the thirteen-year-old boy does not speak.

“Rianna must be fine.” Richard grabbed Randy's shoulder.

“Mama has contacted your parents.” Mama Luna told Randy.

“Iya, ma.”

Some time passed, but Rianna was unconscious. The little girl was moved to the ICU.

Mama Luna, take Randy and Renatta home to clean up.

While Richard, the young man was still faithfully waiting for Rianna at the hospital.

“Rich.”

Papa Roy's voice was heard making Richard who had lowered his head, immediately looked up.

Papa Roy and Mama Dona are coming. Both of them still wear work clothes.

“Om.” Richard got up and hugged father Roy.

“Om, I'm sorry. I was negligent in looking after the children. It's all my fault, om.”

Papa Roy rubbed Richard's back.

“Randy has told me everything. It's not your fault.” The grown man said calmly.

“No, om.” Richard let go of the embrace. He then grabbed papa Roy's wrist.

“My law, om.” Richard smacked Papa Roy's hand on his own cheek.

“Already.” Papa Roy pulled his hand.

“You've taken good care of the kids.”

Richard shook his head.

“Tante. I'm sorry.” Richard turned to Dona's mother who was crying silently beside her husband.

Mama Dona just shook her head.

A nurse came to them.

“With the family of patient Rianna Setiawan?”

The three men approached.

“How are our daughters doing, sus?” Ask papa Roy.

“You'd better come with me.”

Richard's heart was beating faster.

‘No. God, please don't let anything bad happen to Rianna.’

Up in front of the ICU, only Papa Roy is allowed in.

Mama Dona and Richard were waiting in front.

“I won't forgive myself if something happens to Rianna.”

Richard hit the hospital wall with his hand.

“What do you do, Rich?” Mama Dona caught Richard's fist. Fresh blood came out from the surface of the young man's skin.

“I don't take good care of Rianna, aunt.”

“Then, what in this way will the situation return to normal? Everything has happened.” Mama Dona snapped furiously.

Richard lowered his head. Until papa Roy came out of the ICU room with a step.

“Papa!” Mama Dona quickly caught the body of the husband.

“Om.” Richard took the body of the grown man.

“Pa, How is Rianna doing?”

Papa Roy could not answer with words.

The adult man's head shook slowly.

“NO!!”

Mama Dona screamed hysterically before she was unconscious.
