Chapter 3
“you sure accept this matchmaking?” ask Mila Naura's best friend.
After choosing the ring Naura decides to go to Mila's house. After getting a message that his best friend has returned from Europe. Andreas didn't drive him home either. I don't know where the man went Naura didn't care.
Naura shrugged both her shoulders then answered Mila.”'s question I don't know.” he said while eating snacks that he previously bought at the supermarket.
“Isn't he the guy you told me about five years ago?” asked Mila who had eaten the snacks in Naura's hands.
Yes while still sitting on the upper middle bench Naura and her family visited Andreas' house. And for the first time Naura felt her heart thump. He looked at a handsome man standing in front of him. The leaflets grew stronger as Andreas touched the skin of his hands as their introduction began. His eyes did not blink looking at the almost perfect carved face of God's creation.
“True.”
“Then?” ask Mila.
“Then what?” answer Naura indifferently.
“Is this matchmaking not a fortune to you?”
“What luck if in his heart there is another woman.” Naura's mind glared back to recall her encounter with her future husband's lover.
“Is she beautiful until you're so insecure?” Mila looked at her best friend's face waiting for the answer to the question she had just said.
“Beauty anyway.”
“Kok use anyway?” Mila frowned.
“I think she's a little older than Andreas but I don't know maybe just because her makeup is excessive.”
“Means can dong?”
“Can what? So your question is weird?” Naura slid her body on Mila's bed. Both of his eyes looked at the ceiling of Mila's room. It's like having a burden there. What he couldn't tell his best friend.
Mila also joined the fall beside Naura. Because indeed his body feels tired after traveling a few hours to return to Indonesia.
“Don't forget to clear the schedule when I get married later.” pinta Naura without staring at her best friend.
“Iya-iya you are why so chatty once.”
The next second Naura's phone rang. The woman awoke to pick up the phone she had stored in the bag. A smile rose on her pretty face as she read the name that appeared on her phone screen. Out of curiosity Mila also rose from her sleep.
“Sure Andreas.” but unfortunately Mila guess is wrong not Andreas who called but another man.
“Sok tau.” Naura swiped the green icon to answer the call in the form of a video call. After lifting Naura changed from front camera to rear camera. So that picture of Mila is visible to the man.
“Halo sweetheart, long time no see. I love you and I miss you so much.” Mila was seen sticking out her tongue as if she wanted to vomit hearing the words of the man she was so familiar with. Naura who saw Mila's reaction smiled.
“Where are you?” ask Naura without changing the direction of the camera.
“See you.” Mila rolled both eyes lazily. Feeling like vomiting when hearing a man who sounds so boring in his eardrum.
“I'm serious Ben, where are you now? I'm getting married next month. Just be careful if you don't come!!” Ben is Naura's college friend who is different majors with Mila. But they often meet. Because Naura always invites Mila to accompany her while doing chores with Ben.
“Uhuk-uhuk.” Ben who was drinking there choked on hearing Naura's words.
“Seriously.”
“Oh sweetheart you're even more adorable when you're angry.”
“Uweekkkk.”
“Hahaaaa.” Ben laughed heartily at Mila's reaction. What a joy to see Mila was upset.
“It looks like you guys are a soul mate.” Naura was amused by them. One is happy and one is upset. It looks so funny.
“No.” Mila replied quickly while Ben agreed to Naura's remarks.
“By the way who is your husband-to-be I don't have a lover?”
“Later you'll know when you come to my wedding.”
There was a knocking sound on the door. It was secretary Ben who told her for the meeting was about to begin.
“Alright I have a meeting now.”
“Cium away dong sweetheart.” know what Ben means, Naura also brought her phone closer to Mila's face. Then Ben gave a long-distance kiss on a cell phone.
“You guys, kiss me.” I somehow Mila is always upset to see Ben's affection with Naura. Even though Mila knew they had nothing to do. But their behavior is like a lover who is an LDR.
“Cie jealous?” ledek Naura who saw Mila's annoyed face.
“Ih, filthy jealous with her. No.”
“Be careful you don't hate people too deeply because tomorrow you love them.”
“I, love Ben.” Show Mila to herself. “Ih amit-amit there is also hate.” he continued.
“Truly love mean kan.” again Naura teases making a red hue appear on both cheeks Mila.
“Naura.” upset Mila
“Iya-iya hate. Really Love.” Naura clarified her words near Mila's earlobe and then ran out of Mila's room before the pillow she was holding floated up against her.
“Naura!!” shout Mila. Naura who called out her name only smiled in satisfaction as she walked out.
“I go home first yes, bye.” shouted Naura.
“Basic.” Mila shook her head before finally her eyes closed in exhaustion.
Naura was driving at a moderate speed. The woman drove aimlessly. He felt lonely at home. Papa and his mother went to Singapore this afternoon on business. Almost every two weeks his parents are gone. Whether it's for business or sightseeing.
Twenty minutes drive to Naura at a five-star hotel in the city center. When she felt lonely Naura was always like this. Indulge in seeking tranquility in a place he likes.
From one corner of the hotel is a male figure who looks at Naura from a distance. Stare without any expression. Then she left with her lover attending a dinner held at the hotel. And of course it will continue in one of the hotel rooms with the woman he had previously booked.
Naura booked a room on the top floor. And it makes him able to see the beauty of the city of Jakarta with millions of lights that light up the streets.
“Married contract.” Naura smiled cynically at her own words and then drank a red drink. The one he bought at one of the night clubs.
Lonely, that was how Naura felt all along. Born as an only child makes him feel alone especially when both parents travel business abroad and out of town. Naura is an insecure person who likes to be alone. Not having many friends. And don't like to talk much. I like to keep my own problems. Mila was the only friend Naura had until now. And also Ben the guy who makes his life more colorful. Ben can make Naura smile but can't make Naura fall in love. The woman had already linked her heart to someone she loved in silence.
