Before he got to his apartment, Alvaro called home because Stella didn't pick up the phone.

“where's stella?” ask Alvaro when he gets to the apartment.

Allvaro nodded his head and went into the room, alvaro initially did not intend to enter the bathroom but he felt stella had been quite long soaking. Alvaro goes in to remind stella to get out of the bathtub later stella can get sick.
