S2 - Part 10

Her night.

The entire Miranda family is enjoying their dinner, and as usual each dinner is punctuated by a light conversation that will end in a small debate. As of right now, Lara is protesting at Mom Miranda.

"When should I be locked up in the house?" lara protested for some time this week. Because since Edgar came, he was no longer allowed to go out of the house even to go to college. Even Dad Robert to intervene and argue with Mom Miranda, because he did not like the decision taken by Mom Miranda.

"After Edgar returns to Singapore, you're out." Miranda's voice flat.

"What's? But Mom, it's been almost a month that I didn't go to college so my grades could be ruined."

"You come in or you don't, your grades are ruined." Miranda to the point.

"Mom is so honest." Rose laughed while laughing.

"At least don't go straight to such an ultimatum Mom." Lily laughed.

"Sister..." Lara snorted in annoyance at her two brothers. Because instead of helping, Rose and Lily were making fun of him.

"Lara do you really love Edgar?" Ask Miranda.

And the question made Lara annoyed and changed with surprise, because it was not usual for Mom Miranda to question it.

"Answer Lara!"

"I.., Mom wants an honest answer or a lie? Because to be honest I love Edgar very much, if the answer is a lie I don't love him." Obviously Lara is long.

Making Lily and Rose feel anxious on their own with Lara's innocence. Because her sister gave a choice to Mom Miranda, but she also answered the choice.

While Miranda sighed heavily at Lara's reply. "Don't it have been a year, why do you still love her? Can't you just forget your love for Mommy, baby?" her door.

Lara silently looked at Mom Miranda, then bowed for a moment to take a breath. "Sure Mom, I'll try to forget this love of mine."

"Well!" Rose and Lily compactly shook their heads.

"You have no pity on Edgar's struggles all along? Didn't you really love her until you gave up so easily?" Rose regretted her sister's words. Didn't Lara see how hard Edgar's struggle was? The man always stood in front of the gate, then followed wherever Mom Miranda went. Receiving well all the swearing and even staying silent when Mom Miranda flushed the man with water to drive him out of the gate of their house.

Lara lowered her head again. "I love her very much, brother, but I love Mom more." He stared at Mom Miranda.

Miranda smiled satisfied with Lara's reply, as did Rose and Lily. Yes, although they support the relationship of Edgar and Lara but they also can not forbid Lara to stop for strong reasons Lara who turns out to love Mom Miranda more.

"Thank you dear." Miranda clasped her youngest daughter's hand. Now he has no doubt to make a decision on the relationship of Edgar and Lara. And his decision now depends on Edgar's answer tomorrow, the answer that will determine whether the relationship is the first step or could be the end of the relationship.
