Papa

Chapter 78. Papa

Five days and five nights Afkar was hospitalized in Satya Medika hospital and during that time Yudhis faithfully accompanied. This morning Afkar was more cheerful, not as pale and as relaxed as on the first day when he was rushed to the hospital, his appetite gradually improved, as his physical condition also recovered.

“What is Afkar's appetite for today?” Yudhis, who as usual, returned to the hospital after bathing and changing clothes at home, joined the roost and sat on the edge of Afkar's treatment bed. Groping dear Afkar's tiny legs, while Afkar himself is focusing on enjoying a bottle of milk full of appreciation.

“Lumayan bang, out of half.” Khalisa pointed at the plate on the table near the head of the bed, containing the remaining half of the team's rice.

“Do you buy chicken porridge in Andir area again kayak yesterday afternoon? I saw yesterday afternoon Afkar ate it greedily, even to the point of no rest.”

Yes, yesterday afternoon Yudhis did buy healthy village chicken porridge for Afkar after the cute boy chatted toddler-style with him. Said he wanted to eat meatball porridge. Initially Yudhis did not understand, what meatball porridge menu was like, and after Khalisa explained that what Afkar meant was chicken porridge near the meatball sellers around Andir, then Yudhis understood. Hurry up to buy it and it's true that Afkar eats it voraciously.

“No need, Bang, thanks. Do not continue to take. Although it was not easy yesterday afternoon, Afkar quite like the rice team made by nutritionists here. If accustomed to buying, I worry that Afkar will become a picky child. Unfortunately, the healthy menu that has been provided by the hospital is wasteful. Out there are still many who struggle just to just fill the stomach.”

Khalisa said at length, so seriously. It was clear in his father's face that Khalisa highly appreciated food, seen from how Khalisa often fed the food provided by the hospital to Afkar when his son was not consumed.

Yudhis nodded his head and chose not to argue, at this time Khalisa is carrying out her role as a mother who is educating her child. Increasingly amazed by the figure of this motherly young woman.

“At this time your ex-husband is looking for your whereabouts. He also sent his complaint to the state court, asking about your divorce. And as I expected, your ex-husband was really in the fog looking for Afkar and you to every hospital. Whether it's looking in person or telling people.”

“There are also looking here?” Khalisa gulped, his surprised and anxious look could not be hidden.

“There, I myself once found it while passing through the lobby, about on the third day Afkar was treated also this morning. Some well-dressed people asked about the whereabouts of a three-year-old patient named Afkar with a guardian named Khalisa. But you take it easy, your identity here is guaranteed confidentiality,” Yudhis explained calming, telling again so that Khalisa does not continue to erode fear and anxiety that can weaken.

Yudhis is on target. However, thanks to his witty brain, Yudhis predicted this, anticipating it first by asking the hospital to keep Afkar's identity a secret as a patient being treated there, so that the existence of Afkar and Khalisa is not sniffed. Include a formal letter of protection of clients who are involved in legal affairs and need security so that the hospital also understands the purpose of the request.

Amidst their chatter, the morning visit doctor came to check on Afkar as usual.

“Afkar's condition improves faster than expected. I am happy and this afternoon Afkar can go home. But still have to remember regular outpatient control, on time. I will write down the control schedule, so that Bu Khalisa does not forget.”

“Aalhamdulillah's. Thank you for your best care, Doctor,” Khalisa said.

The relief clearly on Khalisa's face with gratitude echoed in his heart. Although it was actually accompanied by hidden unrest when he heard the word outpatient which of course means to refer to the finances to realize it, while the cost of hospitalization for five days was Khalisa counted it as a debt to Yudhis. However, for the sake of the baby lantern soul, Khalisa sure there must be a way as long as he wants to try, especially starting next Monday he already has a job as an OB in LBH belonging to Yudhis.

“Already, Bang, everything is done. Stay waiting for the nurse to release the infusion Afkar.”

“But, Khal. There is something I have to tell you and this is important.”

“Say, Bang. What's up?” Khalisa approached, his eyeballs rolling anxiously waiting for a sentence that would slide from Yudhis lips framed by a faintly thin beard of shaved tracks two days ago. Could it be that Yudhis was going to lay out how much the hospital costs? Her thought.

“Begini, Ghaisan and Aloisa have just contacted. Aloisa went to Bogor, to her father-in-law's house, she said she was asked to come and help organize a salamatan to go to the hajj pilgrimage of her father and mother-in-law and possibly stay a few days. You and Afkar cannot go back to Ghaisan's place when Aloisa is not home. So for a while, you guys will stay in my house first. Considering the security, my residence is definitely guaranteed. I'll ask the gardener's mama and his wife to stay.”

Khalisa looked down deeply, not feeling well. “Sorry, I continue to trouble you, inconvenience many people, but honestly I do need help at this time,” he said with a heavy breath. “If I had a family,” seems sad.

“Hey, why sad, hmm? Then let's just say I'm your family, it's that easy, isn't it? Families do not always have to have the same blood flowing in the veins. Fate and family can be called family. Like us,” added Yudhis who did not let the sentence in the end hang without frills explanation makes Khalisa blink confused.

“Good day, Sir, Mom. I asked the doctor to open your son's infusion.” A nurse sent by the doctor entered the room and greeted politely. This time the nurse was not the usual one. He came to open the infusion because Afkar was coming home soon.

“Halo dedek, sorry yes, sister would like to borrow her hand for a while.”

“Endak want!” sue Afkar for fear. This boy often refused new people to touch and get close to him especially after the day separated with Khalisa, as if left behind his own trauma in Afkar's memory.

“Sayang. Yuk Dengerin said sister, smart child, so that she can hold her milk bottle two more hands,” persuade Khalisa soft.

“Endak want!” his screams were hysterical, instead crying loudly. The proportion of the tiny Khalisa was quite overwhelmed calming his frightened child.

“Sorry, can the Papa who hugged his grandpa to be calmer? Her mother looks overwhelmed with her raging grandpa, sir.” The nurse turned to Yudhis who was watching at the end of the bed, and the nurse looked rather upset at thinking that Yudhis was the father of the crying boy, who was silent and did not act.

“Eh, sorry sister, she is bu_” Not yet Khalisa sentence completed, Yudhis interrupts faster.

“Good, nurse. Let me just,” Yudhis fast.

“If the same Papa hugged him want ya opened the infusion? Af is a smart child,” he said straightforwardly, making the boy sulked was silent for a moment and winked innocently, even more so his mother.

Seriate.
