Ch. 23 - Meet Mom

The chirping of birds sounded beautiful as the sounds of insects echoed. A speck of dew fell from the tree stalk gently. The soothing morning air blows slowly making every living creature wake up from his deep sleep.

Five days had passed since Milena gave the news that she was pregnant, and within five days Eros was acting very rudely. But the rough nature can not last long because Mulan who often visits and tells Vena will be Milena's pregnancy.

"He's not coming home anymore.."

Milena let out a long sigh staring at the front door of her house. Since five days when Eros heard about her pregnancy. He often comes home late or never comes home. Eros would not even look at Mile or answer her words. He gets colder and ignores Milena like an invisible ghost.

Milena sighed for the umpteenth time before moving from her place to eat her morning breakfast. He walked slowly out of the house to go to his boutique.

The streets were jammed in the warm morning unfolded as Milena was halfway to the boutique. The girl leaned her fragile shoulders against the car seat while staring out blankly. His fingers gently rubbed his stomach which was still flat while sighing quietly.

"Mom will protect you. I'll make sure you live happily, too. So be born safe without worrying about anything."

A speck of tears fell on the Golden Milena eyelid as the sentence sounded from her red lips. As she tells Eros about her pregnancy Eros cold demeanor unknowingly gets her affected. He checked it out on the doctor, and the doctor asked him to rest well and not think about anything that made him strep. That would be very dangerous for Milena.

Wiping away the tears that fell, Milena's beautiful face returned to how it was. He took a deep breath before getting off the taxi that took him to his boutique and reached his destination.

As Milena's Golden Eyes looked towards her Boutique, her walking body came to a halt instantly after catching a figure she had known well.

The girl trembled with a hint of fear and took a step back involuntarily. A hoarse voice came out from her red lips with a trembling "Mother....?"

Milena's mother just stared silently at Mile with a flat face. He stepped closer towards Milena who seemed to want to escape. Her footsteps grew even faster when she realized that Milena was really scared and did not want to see her.

"Milena, stop running! Let's talk! There's something I want to talk about!"

Hearing her mother's scream, Milena's body turned to go to a standstill. He looked back at his mother who was seen chasing him with a heavy breath.

Milena hesitantly nodded her head lightly before answering her mother's statement "Let's talk inside my office!"

After saying that sentence, Milena's body just moved forward toward her button without hearing her mother's answer.

The room was so quiet and silent that only the sound of a soft breath with the clock ticking every second.

"What do you want?"

Milena's mother squeezed both of her hands hard looking at Milena's face right in front of her. The tears that he had been enduring for a long time slowly came out with a rush. It was as if the pretty face in front of him was shocked looking at him who was crying. Milena gave a Tissue in confusion.

"I'm sorry! Sorry mom! Sorry Mile...!"

Milena was shocked to the point of looking stupid not knowing how to react. He really did not expect his mother would sob bitterly in front of him while saying apologies like this.

"Mother..."

"I, no. It's us, Mom, your dad to Selena. We really don't deserve your apologies" Milena's mother again spoke cutting off Milena's emphatically "But still. We're really sorry for everything we've done"

Staring at the woman he so dearly looked pitiful with tears and looking deeply at her, Milena's heart ached. He bit his red lips and asked "What happened? Mum...."

"Before Selena died, she told her mother everything. Mom kept it all by herself and just told your dad. We keep that shameful secret for Selena. We do not want his death to be so filthy and despicable in the eyes of others. Even so, we have made a decision that is so unfair and painful for you. We were so bad as parents. We're really bad parents!"

Milena's mother cried even harder, the middle-aged woman pressed her head on the table in front of her sitting down while continuing to repeat the word 'Sorry' for a long time.

Milena looked at the scene silently. He just kept quiet and bit his red lips hard. Milena did not say anything, she knew that whatever she said would not make her mother feel better. All he did was let his mother do what he wanted to say to her satisfaction.

For Milena's own feelings, of course, he felt disappointed and angry at that time. But they are all in the past. Today Mile has forgotten all that and is living for the future. He has forgotten and forgiven all those who have hurt him. As long as they're okay, and Milena's fine. That's enough for him.

After some time, Milena's mother calmed down. Milena gave a glass of water to her mother before speaking to her "I felt very angry and hurt at that time, not I think it was not just heartache. I am sad and disappointed. I feel like no one really wants me in my family. But as time went on I started to get used to it. What mom, dad, and Selena did hurt me so badly. I don't want to live in this world anymore.." Milena paused for a moment to look at her mother with a deep eye before returning to talk "All has passed, my mother is fine and forgot all about it. So please don't bring this up again. And please don't come into my life anymore. I'm fine and want to keep it that way in the future"

Milena's mother nodded softly, she understood the meaning of Milena. If that was what he wanted, he would no longer interfere with his life.

"I understand. Take good care of yourself, Eros... what?"

"Don't tell him anything!" She looked at her mother with a drop of tears.

Of course Milena wants Eros to know everything. But the problem was, would Eros believe it? No, forget about that. Milena was just scared. She was afraid that if Milena's mother told Eros everything, what would happen next? Will Eros fall for her? Or maybe Eros will get even more angry and hate him? So let this flow by itself, especially Eros is currently in a bad mood due to Milena's pregnancy.

"Mom understand, take good care of yourself!" With that sentence, Milena's mother moved from her seat and stepped away from Milena's boutique. Leaving Milena alone with her wandering mind and pitiful looking face.
