“David, I want to say something,” Anne said as she returned to the place where David was waiting for her.
“What is it?” david asked, opening the menu.
Anne let out a deep breath then slowly exhaled, her eyes looking deeply into David's eyes. Inwardly he prayed to God that his decision would not be wrong. “I have decided, I can no longer give you a chance,” Anne said quickly. I hope David will quickly digest what he says.
David closed the menu book in his hand. He looked back at Anne. “Because of Aaron?”
Anne smiled. “There or no Aaron, it has absolutely nothing to do.”
“I'm serious to you this,” said David in a serious tone.
Anne swallowed her saliva. “David, our relationship used to be probably there because we were used to being together, not because there was a real feeling of love.”
“What kind of logic is that?” david said in an unaccepting tone.
“David, did you ever look for me when we were apart?” ask Anne in a serious tone.
David could not answer because of the fact.
“As well as me, I never tried to find you and I feel my life is fine without you.” It is hard to say but the fact is that. Her life is fine without a partner, without David.
“Anne, can you reconsider your decision? I mean we should have married because we were not young anymore,” said David, his eyes shining on Anne expectantly.
Anne laughed blandly. “David, I think getting married is not an achievement in a life cycle, why get married if the household we build is not in a strong love?”
“Can you think about it one more time?”
Anne closed her eyes tightly for a few seconds. “Sorry, I don't want to give you any more hope and I don't want to expect anything more from our relationship either. Enough is enough, I understand now we are not in line and certainly will not be able to force.”
Anne cupped David's palm using one of her hands. He closed his eyes for a moment to feel something in his mind that felt nothing at all. Yeah, no vibration whatsoever even if David touches his skin.
I hope my decision is right.
“Can we be friends in the future?” ask Anne.
David forced his smile, he could not have expected Anne to meet him just to say no. Disappointed? Of course disappointed but he had to respect Anne's decision, after all what Anne said was right, so far they have been separated and none of them have tried to repair the fractured relationship to the question of whether it is true that there is a feeling in them that is called Of love?
