Chapter 21. Yudha's Secret

It's been two days that Lani didn't come in and come to campus. Yudha had tried to contact the woman's cell phone. But can't connect. Her phone number is always inactive.

In the house Yudha looked urgency to make Mami feel astonished. Usually Yudha always comes home from college with a cramped face and will immediately tell about Lani, the woman she loves.

Mami approached her son who was holding a cell phone with a sour face. I don't know what made his son so.

"Darling, what's wrong with you?" ask Mami Manda. The woman sat beside Yudha.

"Mi, I'm afraid something happened to Lani. Has not been to college for two days, and his cell phone cannot be reached."

"Why don't you just come to his house?" ask Mami.

"I don't know Lani's home address. He never wanted me to take him. Afraid of his parents!"

"You should take Lani and pick her up straight home. If her parents don't allow her to date, you should be able to convince them that you're not going to mess with her."

Yudha thought what Mami said was true. He should have found out Lani's address. If Lani's parents did not allow her to date, Yudha should have asked her why Lani's parents forbade her. Yudha should have been reassuring if she wouldn't have had a negative influence on Lani even if they were dating.

"Mommy's right. Tomorrow I'll find out Lani's address from college."

While Mami and Yudha were chatting, Papi Jefri came. Suddenly threw a religious subpoena at Manda. Yudha immediately got emotional seeing her Mama being thrown with a letter. However, Mami held off Yudha who wanted to stand by touching her son's hand.

Manda took a deep breath. Even though he knew Jefri didn't love him anymore, it still hurts to hear the man we love say that. His chest felt tight to hold back the crying. She won't cry because of this.

"Getting a lot of women when men are in success is easy, but maintaining when poor comes back is hard. He who receives you when you are rich does not necessarily survive when you are poor again."

"Do you think you're the best woman? Who can accept me. You want to accept me also because you don't want Yudha to be sad because you don't have a father. If it wasn't for that, you wouldn't have known you wanted to marry me either. You only use me to cover up your disgrace that your husband left behind when he was pregnant young!"

Yudha who heard the words of Jefri, the man she had always considered her real father, became shocked. He never thought Jefri wasn't his father. If so, who is his real father.

Mami Manda was no less surprised by Yudha. He did not expect Jefri would reveal the secret of who he was to Yudha. Though Manda has tried to cover up the truth so as not to respect Jefri as his biological father.

Yudha stood up from her seat and approached Jefri. Staring at the face of the man he had been considering as his real father. However, it turned out that he had been lied to all along.

"What did Papi mean? Try repeating again! I didn't hear you wrong?" yudha asked with a trembling voice restraining her disappointment.
