My Husband's Love Is Not For Me

My Husband's Love Is Not For Me
27. Applying Jasmin

A month had passed after Mama Rindi's freedom. The middle-aged woman had already regained the treasures she had once lost. Homes, cars, valuable assets including savings and jewelry. Even getting a larger amount due to getting compensation from Nathan's family. Grandfather Moeis knew all that could not compare to the life of papa Oddie who was lost, but that was another form of his sincere apology.

Besides, there is other good news. That during Mama Rindi's life will still get a salary from the company even though it is no longer working. So he could focus on watching Oddie all day without worrying. Two nurses were specially prepared. Also some guards were assigned to guard.

As for Oddie, Nathan has straightened out the living money that had been lost to Mama Rindi. Because Oddie refused all Nathan's gifts. Nathan finally decides to hand over a card to Mama Rindi. Wish the money was received by Oddie someday.

Oddie is currently sitting in a wheelchair in his room. Looking towards the big window and seeing Mr. Maman and the two guards who participated moved to Oddie's house with Bi Lastri. This house is too quiet just to live in two. So Oddie asked them to work in this house to enliven the atmosphere. After all Nathan's house has been vacated and they are the ones who are always there for Oddie.

Oddie would drink a glass of milk made by his mother, but his attention was distracted by the arrival of a guest who was none other than his mother-in-law. As Mama Rindi welcomed the iron, Oddie locked the door. Then close your ears and use earphones to play music. Whatever they say, Oddie doesn't want to hear it.

"Come in!" mama Rindi said.

"Thank you!" sahut Mama Maureen's.

Not long after Mama Maureen sat down, Bi Lastri came to serve a warm tea and immediately withdrew politely.

"Drink!" mama Rindi said.

Mama Maureen nodded. Then sip the tea a little. This month, Mama Maureen was the busiest to make sure Mama Rindi's property returned completely. One month he also apologized whether to his son-in-law or his besi. If Mama Rindi is still compromising and willing to meet her, then not with Oddie. Oddie never wanted to see him or Nathan. Including other family members even Grandpa Moeis though.

"How is Oddie. Is she okay?" mama Maureen asked as she glanced at the door of Oddie's room.

"He's kind. But sorry, he still does not want to meet with all of you" replied Mama Rindi.

"It's okay. Maybe it's a punishment for me for wasting a good daughter-in-law like her" Mama Maureen said regretfully.

The woman smiled bitterly. Given that all this time he lived so haughty and arrogant. Defending the wrong and blaming the right. Showing her love and concern for Kirana at sky-high right in front of Oddie, her own daughter-in-law who had never gotten such attention. Still blaspheming Oddie as a corrupt boy and calling him a lowly woman. Whose heart does not hurt like that by his own in-laws?

"My sin for him is unforgivable. I don't mind if Oddie hates me forever. But, Ndi! Can you persuade her not to divorce Nathan?"

Mama Maureen started to weld. Begging Mama Rindi to let Oddie give Nathan one chance. Because tomorrow the divorce lawsuit will be filed in court.

"I've persuaded him. But he won't. She wants to stay divorced" said Mama Rindi.

Yep. Mama Rindi had persuaded Oddie several times but Oddie remained firm in his stance. Now the two women are silent to each other. Then look at Oddie's closed room door without saying anything. The atmosphere was quite quiet for a while. Until another guest arrives. Who else is that guy if not Nathan.

"Ma, I want to see Oddie!" nathan said after Mama Rindi let him sit down. The man immediately spoke to the point. Because the point here is to talk to Oddie.

"But, Ma! There's no more time!" please Nathan. The man's face was parched. Her marriage was already like an egg on the tip of a horn and Oddie did not want to meet her at all. How can he calm down.

Mama Maureen who saw Nathan like that was very sorry. He also talked to find a way out. "Nathan, do you have anything to trade for Oddie to give you a chance?" ask Mama Maureen.

"Ma, Nathan's willing to do anything. As long as you don't get divorced, whatever Nathan wants, Ma! Nathan promise!" replied Nathan.

"Nathan!" said Mama Rindi.

Mama Rindi's face changed. Somehow his premonition told him not to let Nathan say a promise like this. But his words were cut off by Mama Maureen's words.

"Just this once, please tell Oddie!" mama Maureen said by touching Mama Rindi's hand.

"But what if Oddie asks for something that doesn't make sense?" mama Rindi asked her iron.

After all, Mama Rindi is the one who understands Oddie's feelings the most right now. Eyes or feet that hurt can still be operated. Nathan has personally set a schedule for it without Oddie knowing and plans to do it after Oddie gives birth later. But what if the one who hurts is his heart?

"Nathan will give it to him, Ma!" replied Nathan.

It didn't take long for Nathan to convince Mama Rindi. He would actually fulfill all the requirements Oddie had requested. Whatever it is, as long as they don't get a divorce, Nathan will give it to them. Even if he had to lose any treasure, foot or sight as Oddie had.

"Nathan?" mama Rindi said again.

"Ma, help! Just this once!" nathan Pinta.

Mama Rindi finally got up. Asking his son-in-law and his besi to wait while he goes straight to Oddie. It took a long time just to get Oddie to open the door and it took a lot longer to convince Oddie to be willing to meet Nathan for once.

"Darling, just this once! If you're afraid you can accompany me," persuaded Mama Rindi.

But the persuaded ones are not interested at all. Because as long as Mama Rindi persuades him Oddie is more focused with one fresh flower stalk that he takes from the vase in front of him. The flowers are very beautiful, but become damaged after Oddie forcibly pulls one by one the crown of flowers until they are left. Leaving a completely unattractive deformed flower exactly like her.

"Until when do you keep this up, Die? You want a divorce, right? Then you don't have to ask her to wait outside. Let him go home right now!"

Mama Rindi half yelled. Then shook Oddie's shoulder hoping that the only child of his puppet immediately decided. His shout was enough to make Nathan and Mama Maureen turn her head before finally closing in on the door.
