My Bride, Amazing
Chapter 49. Leon VS Khansa

Khansa brushed off the man's hand and said, “I told you I'm not the girl who accompanies you to drinks, but fine if you want me to do it, let's bet on a game.” The tail of Khansa's eyes glanced at Leon who was still ignorant.

Khansa then circulates his handler who catches a chessboard and a deck of cards on the table. Khansa nodded her head when she found a game they were going to bet on.

“We play chess. Let me go if I win, if I lose, according to our bet,” challenge Khansa steadily and confidently.

“Hahaha! Alright-well, deal!” said the old man reached out, about to shake Khansa. But Khansa ignored him and immediately sat down to prepare herself. Someone turned off the deafening sound of music. Also replace the lights with brighter ones.

Khansa and the old boss were already sitting face to face. Each of them in front of him was neatly arranged pieces on the chessboard. A game that drains the brain, concentration and need a strategy to win it.

Khansa immediately made the men curious. Khansa chose to sit by Leon's side, Leon did not speak at all from earlier. Leon just smokes elegantly. But, Leon is the king in this room.

“Let me play! You ...” Leon pointed at the old man and shook his hand.

“Good, Mr.” The old boss understood and immediately complied. He stood up to let Khansa face Leon in this bet.

Khansa turned to Leon, not expecting the man to take over the game. His chest suddenly thumped, he was afraid that Leon would not let him win. Instead, Leon still showed his flat face.

“Alright, I'll throw this coin. If it shows a number, the white chess piece becomes yours Beautiful Miss. And you can start the game,” said the old boss.

“Good,” replied Khansa nodded.

The coin is thrown up and left to fall on the table until it stops moving. Khansa is welcome to start the game, as the coin comes to a halt and shows the numbers.

“Wow figures. Please pretty run your chess piece. Good luck against our king,” Khansa said making him shudder a little.

From his words, Leon is the ruler of this room. Khansa glanced at Leon for a moment, although her expression was still the same. Cold, full of grin. Then he focused back on the table. Pay attention to every piece that stood upright in front of him.

Khansa started running a pawn, followed by Leon's movement quite quickly. Khansa rested her arms on the table. Observing the course of the game, looking seriously at those black and white pieces. Leon kept his lips tight, occasionally raising a look at the extremely serious Khansa.

When his gaze collided, Leon showed a sharp grin. The black iris belonged to the man as if it was ready to tear anything in front of him. Khansa was pounding, her fingers squeezing each other, channeling her nervousness. He swallowed saliva many times. Khansa began to drift and almost lost concentration, but as much as possible retracted his consciousness and returned to concentration.

‘Focus, Sasa! Focus!’ his grunts inwardly let out a long sigh and threw it away violently.

Simon pulled a chair closer, then sat up with the chair upside down. Both of his legs stepped up, landing his buttocks on the chair and propping his chin on the back of the chair.

He was very curious about the fierce fight between his brother and sister-in-law. The pions on the chessboard are getting eliminated by each side. Both are equally strong.

“A very interesting fight,” amazed Simon stared at his two brothers alternately.

Some of the other bosses in the room were curious, they surrounded Khansa and Leon, they saw also comments about Khansa.

“Wow, this girl is really cool. It could even draw with Mr Leon,” whispered a man standing behind Khansa.

“Ah yes, mantle! Bener-ener smart!” sahut the other man.

“Not expecting the mysterious girl to be so ingenious!”

“Yes, he is very meticulous and full of strategy every step of the way,” mutters wonder and amaze almost everyone there.

Khansa was born smart and this game needs technique. Khansa learned quickly, but Leon was a great player and Khansa had no chance of winning. Khansa can only win if Leon allows Khansa to win.

Someone nudged the arm of the old man who asked Khansa the bet earlier, “Try if your co-star. Must have lost to the girl, not nyampe one hour. Sure I'm tuh!” whispered the man next to her.

The old man turned his head and glanced sharply, but the next moment grinned showing off his row of white teeth. His hand hit the head of the man who insinuated him, “You if you like it!” sahut chuckles. Then refocused attention to the increasingly fierce game of Khansa and Leon.

Khansa clenched both hands placed on both sides of the chessboard, focusing on observing the chests, while arranging strategies. Occasionally knock his fist on the table, channeling his anxiety when his white chess piece only left the king after almost 3 hours of play.

Leon's chess pieces, with two pawns and a king. Leon's gaze was still the same, cold, sharp, expressionless. But it looks more relaxed.

Khansa slowly moves her king to remove Leon's pawns. But Leon did a triangle strategy formed between his two pawns with the king of Khansa.

The tension was growing in the room. There were no more whispers between them. Just focus on paying attention to every movement of Khansa and Leon with an irregular heartbeat. They are just spectators. But those who feel the heat are cold.

Simon was no exception, his eyes glared even reluctant to blink, for fear of missing something so exciting and thrilling. Both of his arms tightly hugged the back of the wooden chair he had been sitting on.

Khansa never gave up, he was able to get rid of one of Leon's two pawns. With only one pawn and Leon's king left, Khansa survives with her king.

Everyone even nearly held their breath looking at him, as the seconds headed for the final match.

Khansa's movement slowed, as his position made it impossible to remove Leon's pawns. The pawn increasingly attacked until finally doing promotion. And finally, Khansa was declared defeated.

“Yeeeaaahhh!!”

“Woooaaaa!!”

“Yuhuu!”

“Master Leon is great!”

The cheers of the men were hysterical. They even jumped up, clapping loudly and whistling because of Leon's victory. Finally they can breathe a sigh of relief.

“Sister! I was almost out of breath,” Simon whispered in Leon's ear.

Khansa was paled, her palms were cold. His eyes turned red and ventured to look at Leon with a heart that was too strong. While Leon only returned the gaze coldly, his lips did not say a single word either.

“Hahaha! You've lost beautiful. Open your veil right now and accompany us for a drink. Haha!” the old man's laughter was blaring. He was very happy and wanted to remove the veil on Khansa's face.
