Kenan immediately opened the front car door no longer waiting for Juan who opened the door and Kenan no longer sat in the back.

The flashback
Juan who was from the restaurant after meeting with a client with Kenan immediately returned to his apartment. Kenan's parents re-enter the house and do not continue to eat dinner because they are worried about Kenan they choose to wait for news from Juan.
