The Return of a Past Figure(3)

Ray continues to avoid meeting with Shoyo and Ayumi. He found it hard to face them after hiding the previous meeting. However, Ayumi could not help but be curious and wanted to know what was really going on. He decided to face it himself.

Ayumi finds out Ray's address from the information she has and goes to her house. He knocked on the door with a thumping heart. As the door opened, he saw Ray surprised to see him there.

"Ayumi, what are you doing here?" asked Ray with a mixed face.

"I wonder what really happened," Ayumi replied firmly. "Why did you avoid me and not tell me about your meeting with Shoyo?"

Ray was silent for a moment, pondering Ayumi's words. Finally, he decided to speak honestly.

"I'm sorry, Ayumi," Ray said in a low voice. "I feel jealous and don't want to disturb your relationship with Shoyo. I'm worried that the two of you will get closer and I will continue to be the 'second friend' between you."

Ayumi listened attentively, her face reflecting confusion and surprise. He never realized Ray's complicated feelings.

"Ray, I never intended to hurt your feelings," Ayumi said in a soft voice. "You are a precious friend to both of us. I feel so guilty that you feel marginalized."

Ray looked at Ayumi with intensity. There was relief in his eyes, but also doubt.

"Are you really not mad at me?" asked Ray doubtfully.

Ayumi smiled. "Of course I feel surprised and a little disappointed, but that doesn't mean I'm mad at you. Our friendship means a lot to me, Ray. I want to fix all this mess and keep our relationship good."

Ray breathed a sigh of relief. "I want that too" he said in a soft voice.

The two sat in the living room, talking about all the tension and jealousy that had occurred. They listen to each other, understand, and promise to remain honest with each other in the future.

Later, Ayumi reveals about her meeting with Shiro and how they plan to book an interior design for her new apartment. He invites Ray to join the project, as he knows how valuable Ray's opinion and design talent is.

Ray smiles, relieved that Ayumi still believes him and wants to involve him in his life

However, when the door opened, they were surprised to see not Shiro coming, but someone they did not expect. In front of them stood Shoyo with a shocked face.

"Ray... What are you doing here?" shoyo asked with a questionable look.

Ayumi was confused and confused. "Shoyo, actually... I accompanied Ayumi to discuss the design project for her new apartment with your company."

Ayumi who heard that was getting more and more confused.

Shoyo felt mixed. He did not expect that Ayumi was the client they were talking about and was both delighted and surprised. Suddenly, dark childhood memories appeared in his mind.

Shoyo was silent for a moment, anxious and agitated. She recalled the loneliness and sadness she experienced when Ayumi left without news. That fear resurfaced, making him want to escape from this situation.

Without a word, Shoyo suddenly stood up and left in a hasty step. Ayumi wants to chase after him, but Ray stops her.

"Wait, Ayumi. Maybe Shoyo just needs time to respond," Ray said in a soft voice.

Ayumi was confused and sad. He did not understand why Shoyo reacted that way. He wanted to catch up and understand what was going on, but he chose to give Shoyo a little time.

Meanwhile, Shoyo returned to his office with a heavy heart. Seon Han, his friend and co-worker, saw the unease on Shoyo's face and asked, "What's wrong with you? What's going on?"

Shoyo looked at Seon Han for a moment before finally replying, "It's okay, Seon. There's just a few things that make me a little messed up."

Seon Han nodded understandingly, but still observed Shoyo with concern. He knows that Shoyo has a difficult past and a trauma that has not healed completely.

After finishing his work at the office, Shoyo returns home to his apartment. As he lay on the bed before going to bed, his mind returned to Ayumi. He muttered inwardly, "Is that really Ayumi? How could he suddenly appear in my life after all this?"

Shoyo felt mixed feelings in his heart. On one hand, he was happy to be reunited with Ayumi, but on the other, there was a sense of sadness and loneliness that appeared again. He pondered for a long time in silence, before he fell asleep.
