The rose looked to the side.
"Master Rama" Rose was surprised to see the person who called him was Rama who was wearing the same white t-shirt and caping as a farmer while transporting the usual basket to collect tea leaves.
"What is Lord Rama doing here?" Ask Roses.
"Suttt! Keep the sound down, I'm here undercover. I came here just to see you. How's feet? Healing yet?" Rama asked, picking tea leaves and putting them in the Rose basket.
"Alhamdulillah, I have healed sir, thanks to the red medicine that you always love. I am now healed, the drug is very effective my wound so quickly dry if using the drug" said Rose while still focusing on picking tea leaves.
"Thank God" said Rama.
"May I ask you something?" Rama asked as he continued to pluck the tea leaves and put them in the Rose basket.
"What sir?" Ask Roses.
"Are you still angry at me?" Ask Rama. The rose stopped for a moment and looked at Rama.
"No sir" replied the Rose with a smile and continued picking the tea leaves.
"On that time what my father did to you, I apologize once again for his behavior. I didn't expect, my father could do that low. As a child, I was very disappointed and really embarrassed. Please forgive what my father has done. You just think of what my father did to you at that time, let's just say my father was in khilaf" said Rama in a soft tone.
Rama's words made the Rose who had not wanted to remember the incident is now remembered when Rama said it again, He was immediately moody and traumatized, his heart was broken. Until without He realized slowly his eyes shed tears, immediately He wiped his tears when it came out.
"Master Rama doesn't have to apologize. I have forgiven Mr. Arifin even though Mr. Arifin never said it. But, I have forgiven him" said Roses while trying to smile again.
"Thank you Rose, but I still feel my apology is still not enough for what happened to you. But, I am still grateful that you kept your promise not to tell anyone about this incident. I hope that the events that you have experienced, you make this a secret until anytime. I make sure the incident that time will not be repeated again forever, until the next time I promise it. I will always take care of you and protect you from bad things. This is my promise, as long as you are still faithful to keep this secret until any time" Rama said to Roses while staring intently.
Suddenly a father approached them.
"Eh neng beautiful rose flowers! Red blushed like his man" The God of the fathers named Mr. Darma.
Rama and the rose were immediately shocked, and Rama tried to cover his face with his cap.
"Neng how? Healing yet?" Ask Mr. Darma.
"Alhamdulillah sir" replied the Rose politely.
"Alhamdulillah, eh her tea basket is full yet?" Ask Mr. Darma.
"So soon sir" replied the Rose.
"Said Mr. Arifin after this collect wooden twigs yes and send it to his house" said Mr. Darma sent a message from Mr. Arifin.
"Good Mr. Darma" said the graceful Rose.
Then Mr. Darma immediately glanced at the person who was beside the Rose who was Rama.
"Who is this guy?" Mr. Darma looked down trying to see the face of the person covered by the caping hat. Rama quickly ran away so as not to be caught, Mr. Darma was immediately shocked to see him who suddenly ran away. He had not yet seen his face.
"Who is that guy?" Ask Mr. Darma on the Rose.
"It looks like one of the children of the people here sir" replied Rose lying.
"Why did he run away?" Mumbled mr. Darma.
Not long after. Mr. Arifin came with his staff, the workers who were drifting immediately panicked and ran around.
"Have you finished your job?" Asked Mr. Arifin in a high tone.
"Before now sir" replied one of the workers.
"How many tea leaves have you collected?" Ask Mr. Arifin to one of the officers.
"40 kg master" answered another worker.
"What's 40 kg? Work from the morning until now only 40 kg of leaves you collected? From morning till now where have you been? Until collecting new leaves 40 kg?" Mr. Arifin went straight up. The workers could only remain silent.
"You know, the target of collecting tea leaves per day is 100 kg and you from morning until late afternoon only collect 40 kg? Remember that! Do not stop until you meet the target of 100 kg! Even though it's midnight! If you still have not met the target? I will reduce all your salaries!" Lord Arifin orders while threatening. All workers work very quickly.
Then Mr. Arifin again walked to see the workers who were working after that He saw the Rose and approached him.
"Did you hear what I just said? Youunderstand?" Ask Mr. Arifin on the Rose. The rose did not reply, He just nodded his head slowly without looking at it.
"After this you will go to the forest and gather twigs and send them to my house" ordered Mr. Arifin. The rose still answers in the same style.
Mr. Arifin was immediately upset because he thought the attitude of the Roses was impolite who answered him with just a nod.
"At least answer with your mouth and look me in the eye! Don't keep bowing!" Snapped mr. Arifin.
"Understand me?" Ask Mr. Arifin again in a loud tone while hitting the Rose basket with his cane.
"Understand master" replied the trembling Rose.
"Good" Mr. Arifin immediately went away satisfied, while the Rose could only cry because every time he saw the face of Mr. Arifin he would remember the events of that night that traumatized him.
...
In Forest.
Roses will collect wooden twigs, when going to work, Roses are shocked to see Rama is already in front of him while carrying a pile of twigs.
"Here, I collected it earlier while you were still picking tea leaves. So, now you do not need to bother looking for a wooden branch" said Rama while giving the twigs that He had collected to the Rose.
"Master, why do you bother? This is my job, if Mr. Arifin knows for sure Mr. Arifin will be angry" said Rose objected.
"No, I'll just help you. You will just recover is not good if you work a lot, later you deliver this wooden twig. Don't tell anyone that I helped you, including my father. If anyone asks, just tell them that you collected these wooden twigs" said Rama.
"Thank you sir" The rose was moved.
"Sama-sama, now there deliver the twigs, when you get there you keep the twigs near the straw. After that you go home and rest a lot" said Rama with a smile.
"Master didn't come home?" Ask the curious Rose.
"I want to keep an eye on the workers here first, after I have just finished coming home" replied Rama. The rose then left.
...
Nightfall.
After finishing delivering the twigs, the Rose immediately went home, before entering He washed his feet and shoes outside first, because when in the forest the ground there was wet due to the rain yesterday, he washed his feet and shoes outside, so that the Rose-worn boots are filled with mud.
When he entered, Roses found his mother lying on the bed coughing.
"Mother? Mother why?" Tanya Rose was worried, because just this afternoon she saw her mother in good health.
"Mother's disease relapses again son" replied Bu Ayu.
"Mom's been taking medicine?" Ask the Rose while giving her a cup of water. His mother simply replied by shaking her head while continuing to cough.
"Then you eat first, after that you take medicine" suggested Rose, while looking for food in the kitchen.
"Son, there is no food, since last afternoon I did not cook anything because the fuel wood supply we have is exhausted" said Bu Ayu.
"What's? Our firewood supply is up" Rose was shocked and immediately looked out and it turned out that there was not a single firewood left. The rose came back into the house.
"Then, Roses want to find firewood first yes Bu to the forest" said Mawar while taking sides to transport wood.
"Don't kid, it's already night you'd better find the firewood tomorrow" Prevent Bu Ayu.
"It's okay Mom, Roses will look for it now so that tomorrow we don't have to look for it suddenly" said Roses. Bu Ayu could only remain silent while coughing. How else, however he thinks the word rose is always true. The rose went straight to the forest.
...
Arriving in the forest, Roses immediately looked for wooden twigs, while searching, He had difficulty finding dry wooden twigs because almost all wooden branches were wet because of the rain yesterday.
After hours of searching for twigs, Roses finally managed to collect a lot of wood twigs even though some were slightly wet from the mud. He tied up his pile of twigs with his side and prepared to go home, when he was coming home. He saw a young man lying by the river.
Roses are weird. He began to think why there are people who sleep on the river especially in the middle of the night like this. The rose immediately approached the young man and intended to wake him up. Slowly the rose walked around like a thief who would steal a fish.
Arriving there, Rose was curious about the man because the man was lying on his side facing the river.
"Excuse me, kang? Is she sleeping?" The Rose asked.
"Don't sleep here! It's not good to sleep on the river bank, lots of mosquitoes! The danger!" The rose tried to wake him but the man did not respond.
"Kang? The akang? Awake!" Call the Rose while patting her shoulder.
"Who is this? How not to wake up? Is he a citizen here? But who is it?" Mumbles Rose while looking to the right and left to make sure if there are still others with him or not? It turned out that there was no one else in the forest other than him and this lying young man.
Because it was already midnight, no one dared to enter the forest in the middle of the night like this other than the Rose who had strong guts.
"Kang! Akang's! Awake!" The rose kept calling out to him but the man still did not respond.
"No waking up, huh? Why yes?Lest this man be dead" Rose was immediately frightened as she thought that. The rose immediately covered her mouth with her hand as she was shocked by her own words. Then he walked back slowly.
"Typeakk! I can't be afraid! I have to see his face! Who knows I know, so that I can tell the people" Mumbled Roses trying to dare to look at the person's face.
