Joe William

Joe William
In intercept again

The school bell is now ringing indicating that there is an end to learning time for elementary school students in Mountain slope.

Now the students started running and scrambling to get ahead of each other out of class. This was no exception for Joe William and Harvey.

They both looked very happy and continued to scramble out of the class, making Ms. Sarah just shook her head to watch the actions of her students.

"Joe, you'll come to my house, right?" Ask Harvey.

"No Vey. My grandfather didn't give me permission." Answer Joe.

He deliberately said it like that for various reasons.

First he did not want to meet again with the three children of rich people in the village who often bother him.

The second one, he wanted to study hard and absorb all the knowledge his Grandfather would teach.

Third, only Harvey was good to him. While Harvey's family just pretended to be trash.

If not for his highly respected grandfather in the village, it was certain that he would not have been allowed to even pass in front of their house.

She's astonished. His grandfather said, The people of Mountain slope are all friendly and kind.

But since a few years back, when a company from Starhill entered and invested in this village, the state of the economy of the population began to change in line with their lifestyle that began to leave the simplicity that could once be seen from every citizen of this slope mountain.

The road is now on asphalt. The rice mill is already in place. The irrigation dam was fully ready about five years ago. The life of the people is very prosperous.

It slowly changes their lifestyle.

Joe, a kid that age doesn't have time to think about it. He just kept walking along with Harvey who seemed a little disappointed with the reason given by Joe earlier.

"Alright Joe. We're parting ways here."

"Ok Harvey's. See you tomorrow at school." Said Joe.

Harvey nodded and waited by the side of the road until Joe was nowhere to be seen, then he stepped back to his house which was not far from where he was standing.

Right now, Joe just keeps walking down the road to junction three.

But what he did not expect was Charles, Milner and Jimbo instead stood at the intersection as if waiting for him to pass through the road.

"Heh the forest boy. Why are you taking so long?" Ask Milner arrogantly.

"What are you guys doing? Are you still not satisfied bothering me?" Ask Joe.

"That's Charles. I'm lazy to fight. The problem is, I don't want our business to get to the parents. I better just give up. But don't overdo Charles! Because ants bite if they get hurt too much." Said Joe.

"Haha. Biting said friends. Look at this jungle boy. Fucking monkey. Biting said."

They then laughed out loud to see Joe's face that began to blush withholding emotions.

Time and time again Joe took a deep breath to quell his anger. He remembered all of his grandfather's messages not to fight back and look for trouble.

"You know huh? Woy son of the jungle! Do you know who I am? Don't make a red face like that in front of me. Or you will absolutely not be able to continue your schooling in this Mountain slope. You don't know who my uncle is and who my grandfather is. My grandfather was Morgan and my uncle was Mr. Ryan. He is a director at a company in town. Look at that factory and dam! It all belonged to my uncle. Everyone in the village was respectful and grateful to him. You want to fight me, right? Think about your old grandfather. Even your grandfather never returned to the village. Maybe I can't walk." Charles insulted Joe with a very hurtful word.

Joe could only swallow all these insults and repeatedly take a deep breath to loosen the tightness inside his chest.

Now, despite the ravings of Charles, Milner and Jimbo, he immediately stepped away from those who were still bothering him while following behind.

Huuuu....

"The son of the forest." Said the three of them mocking Joe with the title of son of a forest man.

Joe no longer cared about all the babbling of the three children, instead just continued to quickly follow the path to quickly arrive at his hut.

When Joe arrived at the worn-out hut, an old man walked up to him and asked. "What's wrong with you Joe? Grandpa look at your face is so tangled."

"They're bothering me again cake. Every time I go home from school, they're always waiting for me at the intersection of those three." Joe said while putting his school bag near the closet that was also outdated.

"Grandfather.they keep saying that I'm the son of the forest people. They also said that I was an unclear child from where. Actually I'm surprised. Why do you see me every time you always in a secret way?" Ask the child with a feeling of curiosity.

"Is my father a cake fugitive?" Ask the boy again.

"Eh. What are you talking about. Your father and mother are good people. They never look for trouble. Maybe these villagers are too arrogant for your father to come in secret." The old man replied lying.

"I want my dad and mom to take me around this village occasionally. Let people see that I have a father. If this keeps up, I can't stand the cake." Joe said furiously.

However hurt his feelings, the boy did not cry. This made the old man salute this very little boy. The thickness of his soul deserves a thumbs up.

"You don't know Joe. If your father does not hide coming to this village, surely this village will be hit by an uproar. You don't know who your father is and what his powers are like. Everyone will march and bow if your father comes openly to this village." The old man said in his heart.

"You are the sole heir to be prepared from the age of one year. Everything you're going through right now will come in handy later for you after adulthood. So, hang on and be patient." The old man said in his heart.

"Already! Don't nag like grannies. Now you change your clothes. We're gonna blaze a road ahead there so you can get through to school. After that, you won't be stopped by those wayward kids." Said the Grandfather while picking up a machete from behind the door.

After you change clothes and eat, the two grandfathers and grandsons set off to the side of the bush and slashed the grass to make a new path for Joe William to use to go to school.
