It's Crazy Rich

It's Crazy Rich
Chapter 23

When they arrived at the entrance of a jade shop, Justin felt abundant spiritual energy within. She goes in with Norah, saying she wants to buy jewelry for her mother.

"Are you not Justin and Norah?"

As soon as Justin and Norah entered the jade shop, a blonde-haired young woman with slightly wavy hair walked up to them with a young man wearing a famous brand.

Her name was Alivia Sutton. The young man was named Bennett Hopton, from a wealthy family who had a fortune worth seventeen million dollars. Justin and Alivia are classmates. The four of them are in the same university. Bennett studied finance. Bennett is Alivia's girlfriend and since then she has been in Alivia's class so much that the four of them get to know each other.

Alivia doesn't want to miss the chance to mock Justin when they now meet.

"Are you two here to buy jade?" alivia asked in a dismissive tone.

"We're looking around."

"I thought you would buy her a jade," Alivia said with a mocking smile.

Alivia thought, "Buying jade jewelry could cost at least tens of thousands of dollars. Even rich people like Bennett would think twice about buying things here. I found a ring I liked, and there was emerald on the ring. It cost over fifty thousand dollars. Bennett hesitated and only agreed to buy it after he got a 20% discount%. How dare people like Justin and Norah come to a place like this?"

To his surprise, Justin said, "I did intend that. Why don't you help Norah pick out the jewelry? I'll pay for it."

Hearing this, Alivia was slightly stunned, and Bennett burst into laughter.

"Justin, you can't ask for his help. Alivia has expensive taste. He likes a ring worth sixty thousand dollars. I had to raise money to buy it. If he helps you choose something, I'm afraid you won't be able to raise enough money."

Alivia closed her mouth and smiled. "I'm just average."

Alivia did not forget to look at Justin with a contemptuous look. He thought, "Can you afford something I like?"

Justin's next words left the two dumbfounded.

"Your taste is pretty ordinary. I won't bother you."

After saying that, Justin and Norah walked around to look at the jewelry in the storefront.

Bennett thought, "It seems very ordinary."

"It's just normal."

"I want to slap Justin's mouth."

"You're so shameless about saying that. You're just a poor man."

"Buy something worth sixty thousand dollars to prove otherwise."

Bennett roared in his heart.

"Let's see what kind of trash he can buy for Norah." Bennett holds Alivia's hand and follows Justin as well as Norah to take a look.

"Justin, don't just look around. You can ask the waiter to show you whatever you like."

After quite a long time following Justin, Alivia could not help but say inwardly, "You just can't afford it. You're just pretending. You'll make excuses to go later."

"I haven't found anything I like. I don't want to disturb the servants," Justin replied nonchalantly and continued to look around.

Alivia could not help but laugh when she heard this expected answer.

Bennett nodded and smiled bitterly. He thought, "If you can't afford it, then you can't come here. No one will laugh at you if you don't come in. Now you're pretending to want to buy something."

Even the waiter at the checkout table was mocking. They've seen a lot of people like this. Most people who only look behind the glass will not buy anything.

After a while Bennett couldn't help but say, "Justin, we all know you well. You can't afford jade at all. If you insist on giving something to Norah, I suggest you buy some stockings or lingerie. Cheap price. Such items are best suited for a poor person like you."

"Bennett, you're so mean." Alivia closed her mouth and smiled.

The servants ignored Justin and Norah after hearing the couple's words.

Norah turned around and rolled her eyes at the couple.

These people are so arrogant.

Norah knew that Justin was buying jewelry for his mother. Otherwise, Norah will drag him away.

"This one."

Justin pointed at the green jade pendant that was on the display case and said, "Miss, this jade wrap. I want to buy it."

But none of the servants came to talk to Justin.

There was an explosion of laughter.

Alivia laughed out loud when she saw the price of the pendant.

"Justin, are you sure? It cost three hundred and eighty thousand dollars, not three hundred and eighty dollars!"

"I know" replied Justin.

"Then why did you ask the waiter to wrap it up for you? Can you afford it?" bennett said with a smile.

Justin was too lazy to talk nonsense with him. Seeing the servants indifferently, he continued, "This jade package. Swipe the card."

"It cost three hundred and eighty thousand dollars. Are you sure you're not flirting with us?" A female servant looked at Justin while sneering.

The waiter was the one who greeted Bennett and Alivia when they bought the ring.

He thought, "This man is wearing luxurious clothes, wearing an expensive brand watch. The items he wore were worth tens to hundreds of dollars. So does this woman. He was wearing fancy clothes and carrying an expensive wallet. Even such a wealthy couple hesitated when they wanted to buy a ring for sixty thousand dollars. How could this fellow afford to buy a pendant for three hundred and eighty thousand dollars?"

"In addition, the couple knew this man and said that he was poor. What if she runs away with the locket if I give it to her?"

"Forget it. You guys are so disrespectful to customers."

The female servant's bad attitude made Justin lose his desire to spend money. He turned around and was about to leave with Norah.

"I knew he'd make an excuse to leave!" Bennett laughed as she watched Justin leave.

"It's as I expected." Alivia couldn't help but laugh either.

"Master, wait a minute!"

A middle-aged woman in high heels ran up to Justin and stopped him with a smile. "Master, I'm the owner of this shop. Has my servant upset you?"

The store owner was accepting the old customers earlier. He ran over to Justin when he heard Justin mention disrespectful behavior.

"Your servant is very arrogant. I'll spend millions of dollars somewhere else."
