Chapter 5: Anger

"Make sure your men don't work at the police station anymore or I'll blow up your office." The police chief gulped his saliva heavily.

"Good, Sir. I feel ashamed today for what he did. I'll make sure he doesn't show up anywhere." Alvin grunting.

"Hm, go there!" The police chief bowed and left the luxurious mansion.

Alvin went into his house and found his daughter joking with her boyfriend Felix Melviano.

Felix Melviano is an agent for the National Intelligence Agency (BIN). Alvin grinned as a plan appeared in his brain.

Alvin Helbert is the leader of a mob group called Vongolia. This organization sells illegal businesses such as drugs, internal organs, and so on. He also controlled BIN to cooperate with him even though he rarely used their strength. This time, however, he plans to enlist Felix's help in finding Clara's whereabouts.

Before that, he planned to go to his study and press the button next to his ledger shelf. Then, the large bookshelf opened and revealed a dark passageway towards the secret room. He entered the hallway, and arrived in the holding room.

There was a young man standing in front of him. The young man was his assistant whom he believed to erase the footage in which, he killed two people in his apartment. Alvin has several backup assistants to kill while not performing his duties properly.

"You know why I called you here, Ardian?" asked Alvin in a creepy tone.

"N-don't know, sir." Alvin took the whip in the basket to his right.

"Don't pretend not to know. I feel like you betrayed me today, hm? You didn't delete the entire CCTV footage as I ordered, did you?" The young man named Ardian glared.

"I swear, I've deleted the entire CCTV footage, sir," replied Ardian in fear.

"Then, how is the CCTV in the hands of the police?! Are you fooling me now?!" snapped Alvin.

"Punish me, sir. I'm not fooling you. I'm sure I wiped the tape clean. Akkhn...." Ardian grimaced in pain as the whip landed on his body. He felt that his body was flayed because the whip was no ordinary whip.

"If you betray, you'll know the consequences. The pain is not much, okay?" Ardian nodded. Alvin patted the back of Ardian's head.

"Now tell me. Did you see anyone in my apartment?" Ardian tried to recall the murder incident earlier this afternoon.

Flashbacks On....

Ardian is in the Rose District, overseeing drug sales there.

Drrtt....

*His phone reads and sees the caller's name. He picked up when his boss called.

"Hello, Mister. What's the matter calling me?" ask Ardian*.

"I'm asking you to come to my apartment right now." *Ardian cringing.

"But sir, what about this Rose District?" Can Ardian hear a voice whispering across there.

"Leave it. I've sent people to watch. You should get here in 1 hour. Otherwise, you'll die when I find you." Ardian gulped down his salivary weight.

"Good Sir. I'll be there soon." Ardian turned off his phone and boarded his car*.

An hour later....

*Ardian found the officer who delivered the package suspicious. He saw a small drone flying into his boss's room as the officer handed over the package. However, he paused to investigate and waited for the officer to leave.

After the package deliveryman left, Ardian went straight to his boss' room.

When he entered his boss's room, he found two lifeless men lying on the floor.

"Sir, what are you doing?" ask Ardian.

"No need to ask. Delete all CCTV footage in this apartment." Ardian nodded and headed for the CCTV room to erase the entire CCTV footage it*.

Off Flashback....

Bugh....

He hit Ardian hard in the face to vent his emotions.

"You can't be trusted! You should have killed that young man and destroyed that evidence, you idiot! Because of you, I have to deal with that fake cop!" Alvin pulls Ardian's collar and hits Ardian in the face again.

"I've been too good to you all this time. Now, I'll give you a choice. Your life or your parents?" Ardian jerks. He looked at his boss with a glare. He shuffled and hugged Alvin's leg.

"I beg you, don't kill my family. I promise, I'll be better in the future." Alvin smiled in anguish. He pulled back Ardian's collar and smacked Ardian in the face until the blood on his nose came out more and more. He spewed fresh blood.

"It's been a lot, you promised me. But in fact, the bullshit I got. I'll spare your life this time because you won't die at my hands." Ardian breathed a sigh of relief.

"You, torture him and kill him! Burn her body to nothing!" Alvin left the holding room regardless of Ardian's screams.

Both Alvin bodyguards blindly beat Ardian until his life was lost.

Meanwhile, Rendy woke up and looked around the room. He scrunched his forehead. As far as he knows, he just got out of the police station. Why is he here now?

"Is it awake?" A girl's voice hit her hearing.

"Who are you?" ask Rendy.

"I'm Lydia Alcander. Owner of Lyd Lotus." Rendy turned her head and bowed respectfully to Clara.

"Hey, you don't have to hesitate that way. You want to know who brought you here?" Rendy nodded. He was indeed curious, why he was in this foreign room.

"You're in my apartment right now. I'm freeing you to use the facilities here, as long as it doesn't go to any lengths. Understood?" Rendy nodded once more.

"I'll bring the guy in and I hope you're not surprised."

Czech....

Rendy turns to find someone she knows.

"Yeah, Rendy. You look so bad."

"Shut your mouth if you don't want insects in it." Rendy closed her mouth.

"I'll go out and let you two talk." Clara leaves Rendy and David both in the room.

"Didn't see you for a long time, David? You're right, I look terrible." David snorts.

"Tumben once, you always deny my words." Rendy smiled.

"I'm fired." David laughed when he heard it.

"Don't I warn you, being a cop isn't as easy as you think. Not all criminals can be arrested with just the evidence you get. Moreover, the law can be bought with money." Rendy backs up in bed after hearing David's advice.

"If you think you can defend the truth by being a cop, you're wrong. Being a good person is not the right choice in fighting crime. Sometimes, we must turn away from the right path to reduce evil. The Police Headquarters has been controlled by Mr. Alvin at this time. It's free if you want to put him in jail." Rendy looked up and looked at David.

"After all, working as a cop won't be able to guarantee your family's life. If you want to work, maybe Miss Lydia will make you an attractive offer. Aren't you afraid of the fate of your family? You've been dealing with the wrong person." Rendy immediately remembered the family waiting for her return in her hometown.

"So, what am I supposed to do now?" ask Rendy.

"You can ask Miss Lydia that. Maybe, he will give you a solution" replied David.
