I'M Not A Mafia

I'M Not A Mafia
Chapter 24. Interrogations

"So it's not from your store this package?" ask a detective to Firo for the next time.

Firo sits quietly while replying to Detective Co's question. Firo looks back at Detective Co, as if saying that the answer is not lying. Well, the only hope is that he believes that the illegal goods are not from his store.

"The package is not from my store, there is no logo on the shipping label. Why am I the only one being examined? It could be the wrong expedition. Or it could be .. they conspired with the sender and purposely set me up."

Detective Co is still watching Firo's face. He was researching the expression on Firo's face, whether the man was lying or not. From the beginning he was convinced, Firo was not involved in this case. It's just that, because of his bad family history, making the Police suspect him let alone evidence obtained not once.

"Are you sure you didn't give false statements? You know that's not the penalty for being involved in this case?" ask Detective Co.

"Well, I know," Firo replied firmly.

Detective Co smiled. He also thought of Firo. The lie detector does not react anything, it's a sign Firo is telling the truth.

"Don't worry! I told Siena to keep an eye on the case. I've assigned her to be a schoolgirl at your son's school" Detective Co said again, "tomorrow I'll also come to Indonesia to help watch her there."

Firo's brows furrowed, he was comprehending the words of Detective Co. Why would he have his partner keep an eye on Drago's place at school? Isn't the shipment not from Indonesia? Then why should we keep an eye on Drago's school? There were many questions in his heart.

"I'll tell you later the results. Don't worry, I strongly believe you weren't the culprit. The case relates to a mafia syndicate of drug sales and international human organ trafficking. And one of the members is inside the school" Detective Co. said.

"You mean? One of the mafia's at that school?" ask Firo.

Detective Co smiled, neither nodding back nor shaking. "You'll know later. I guarantee the police won't keep you here. It's just that for research purposes, you can't go abroad including Indonesia."

"Thank you, Detective Co. I put my son there," Firo said as he endured.

Elsewhere at a crossroads. Freya walked very quickly alone after getting off the city bus. Very quiet, because indeed the neighborhood of Freya's house is not a residential settlement, but a place of empty warehouses that are not used. Freya had to pass through it to get home.

"Newly this time I felt afraid of walking alone towards the house," Freya muttered as she tightened El's hand-drawn jacket.

It has been a few days since working at Drago's house, he has to go home and leave in the dark including tonight. Freya came to her friend first, she wanted to ask for additional work by selling products online. Well, he just acts as a dropshipper and looks for consumers at home.

"Hopefully my efforts are smooth and quick to raise money to redeem my father" Freya told herself.

Freya tried as quietly as possible while walking. Trying to set his eyes forward, no matter what, his goal was just to quickly go home and get to his house.

But before he actually arrived, two drunk men in an empty barn staggered up to him.

"There's a soft prey in front" said one of the drunkards.

"Hi girl, why are you walking alone. Here's Brother befriend."
