Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala says,
وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى
“He does not speak on the basis of lust. None other than all of it was a revelation that was delivered to him.” (QS. Tagged: 3-4)

Related to the incident of Prophet Moses beating the angel of life (malakul death), has been conveyed by the Prophet shalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam in the hadith that shahih the history of Bukhari, Muslim and others.
From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, he said, “The angel of death was sent to visit Moses ‘alaihis greetings. When he got to his place, Moses struck the angel, until his eyes fell off. Then the angel came back to his Lord. He complained, “You sent me to meet a servant who did not want death.”
Then Allah returned his eyes and said, “Turn to meet Moses, tell him, ‘Please put his hands on the back of the cow, then the age of Moses will be added a number of feathers covered with his hands, and then he will be given a number of feathers, every one feather counted one year’.”

Scholars of hadith scholars agree that this hadith is true of the Prophet shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Therefore, the attitude that we are obliged to put forward is to believe in the truth.
Why did Moses strike an angel? If Moses knew that it was an Angel, then Moses insulted the Angel? And if Moses did not know that it was an Angel, why was Moses not called out for hitting?
The answer is that God did not send an angel of death to take the life of Moses at that time. But God sent an angel of death to Moses to test. Moses struck the angel of death, because he saw a man enter his house and did not know that it was an angel of death. And sharia allows people to damage the eyes of others who peep at his house or see his household without permission.
