He's my son, not my brother

He's my son, not my brother
Talk of ex-lovers

Naina nodded her head. Pulling the chair facing Daniel and dropping his ass there. The atmosphere of silence began to envelop two people ex-lovers who are now staring at each other.

The arrival of a waiter carrying a food menu book decided the gaze between them.

"What do you want to drink or eat?" Daniel asked when the book was in his hands.

"Orange juice only." Reply Naina.

"You didn't order food?" Ask Daniel again.

Naina shook her head. "I've eaten." The reply.

Daniel nodded in understanding. After ordering the food he wanted, the waiter left their table.

Naina looked at Daniel's face in silence. His heartbeat worked even faster as their eyes were now ringing. Daniel pulled thinly both corners of his lips as he caught Naina's current nervousness. Not much different from him. It was just that he was too good at hiding what he was feeling right now.

"Do you want us to book a special room to talk to?" Bargain Daniel. His vision was directed at a room not far from them.

Naina shook her head. Being near Daniel like this just made his heart beat so fast. What else if they sit in a room just alone and away from people. It is possible that Naina's heart will jump out without her guessing later.

Daniel nodded in understanding. In her mind it was possible that Naina still felt uncomfortable being around her as she was right now.

Seeing Daniel's expression that seemed calm and not arrogant as usual made Naina's heartbeat beat faster. His gaze also fell on the cheeks of Daniel who still looked bruised and swollen. Naina tries to ignore him and prefers to reveal their purpose of meeting at this time.

"There's something important I want to talk to you about." Naina said as she saw Daniel waiting for her to speak.

"Speak." Daniel replied with a calm face.

"What was your purpose in coming to my house this morning?" Ask Naina.

Daniel unites his ten fingers. Staring at the face of Naina who looks beautiful tonight even with only a thin makeup polish on her face.

"That's all?" Ask Naina.

Daniel nodded. "It's only for your parents." Evidently.

"What did you do it for?" Ask Naina. His gaze had now turned inhospitable to Daniel.

"Because I want it." Daniel replied briefly.

Naina smiled in a slant. "Did you think your apology would have wiped the wounds on my parents' hearts all along?" Ask Naina.

Daniel shakes. "I knew I would never be able to erase the wounds in your parents' hearts because of my actions and change the fate that had happened. So too with the wounds in your heart. But I chose to keep doing it even though it was too late." Reply Daniel.

"I didn't expect a man like you to drop your pride just to get sorry from both the parents of a cupid and a fool like me." Naina said calmly. But Daniel understood the meaning of the woman's words.

"My pride won't fall for just one apology to both your parents."

"You're too good at theatrics, Daniel." Naina is still in disbelief at what Daniel said.
