Chapters 14. Politics of the Work Environment.

Vania stood before Arsen with her head bowed as she entered the man's room, while Arsen himself stared at Vania sharply.

"Many, too, your shopping," Arsen said with a cynical smile as if to say that Vania looks like someone who has never shopped before, making the woman immediately raise her head and look at him sharply.

"I'm just following your orders to shop as much as you can, Sir," Vania replied in an indecisive manner. "You didn't forget, did you, if I could use your cards as much as possible?" He smiled widely with meaning, even though his hands were actually scared.

Arsen immediately laughed when he heard Vania's words making Vania gasp. It is not expected that Arsen can laugh like that, even though during knowing the man he never saw Arsen smile at all, let alone laugh.

"Good, very good," cried Arsen as he moved from his chair to approach Vania, making Vania swallow her saliva violently.

Arsen continued to approach Vania until it left no distance between them. For a moment their gazes met and locked onto each other, until finally Vania stepped back making Arsen grin thinly.

"I'll definitely change your money" Vania said. He couldn't stand being too close to Arsen.

"Well, if that's what you have to prove" Arsen replied. He sat down and told Vania to sit down in front of him.

Vania hurriedly sat down in front of Arsen and placed her groceries on the floor. Then his eyes looked towards an envelope that was on the table.

"Open that envelope!" arsen's orders.

Vania obediently opened the envelope and was surprised to see the contents inside. "Va-Varo?" He immediately looked at Arsen in bewilderment as he looked at the pictures of Varo.

"That's the places your son visited. You just read it yourself" said Arsen lazily.

Vania then noticed the photos in her hands. Although he was confused why Arsen could get all that, but he was happy to see a picture of his son.

"This looks like a tutoring spot," Vania murmured as she watched the photo where Varo was. There are also some photos in restaurants, playgrounds, and tourist attractions that seem to be on the edge of the lake.

After finishing looking at the photo, Vania immediately asked Arsen what she should do. Does he have to meet his daughter there?

"I'll see him, you just pay attention" said Arsen.

Vania looked down sad because she was not allowed to see her son directly, but she was eager to hug her son.

"You can meet him when the time is right," continued Arsen made Vania directly stare in disbelief.

"Really?" vania's question was answered with a nod of Arsen's head.

At once Vania smiled happily because she was allowed to see Varo. At least he had hope to be with his son, even though he had to have the patience of the ocean to face the nature of Arsen.

"Tonight get ready, we'll attend an event" Arsen ordered later.

Without asking, Vania immediately nodded her head making Arsen feel strange. Usually the woman would always ask whatever she ordered, but now just nodded while continuing to smile broadly.

Arsen then told Vania to go home by taxi, while she herself had to do her work delayed due to shopping for the women's equipment.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Sonya is seriously checking out the Adijaya family. He had to look for any loopholes or faults in the family, there was no way, did they not make any mistakes at all?

Sonya was shocked when she heard someone's call. He quickly changed the display screen of his laptop so as not to be seen by the person.

"Yes sir, what's wrong?" asked Sonya while raising her head.

"The commander calls you into the room" said the man, pointing to their superior's room.

Sonya nodded her head in understanding then rushed to the superior's room. He immediately knocked on the door while asking for permission to enter.

"Can I help you, sir?" asked Sonya when she was in the room of her boss.

"Sit down, I want to talk about something" the man said.

Vania immediately sat on the chair in front of the boss. It seemed like there was something important that his superior wanted to talk about, could it be that there was a problem?

"How long have you been in this job, Sonya?" ask a man named Tio.

Sonya frowned in surprise upon hearing Tio's question. "It's been almost ten years, sir." Although he was confused, he still had to answer.

Tio nodded his head. "I no longer need to tell you the unwritten rules. You know, right, that we can't interfere with the people in power, for whatever reason?"

Sonya really did not understand what Tio was saying. What exactly did that man mean, and who was Tio referring to?

"Sorry sir, I don't-"

"Mr Adijaya is a powerful man, we should not harass him. Especially so far he has helped the community, as well as education for officers. I'm sure you can definitely act well in the future," Tio cut off with great nutrition.

Ah, Sonya just understood now. It turned out that Tio had been offending the Adijaya family since then, and to be honest he did not expect that the matter would get into his work like this.
