Don't Call My Son the Haram Child

Don't Call My Son the Haram Child
Meet Rafli At School

Zakira now has a new habit of dropping off and waiting for Aufar school.

Holding his son Akbar, Zakira always sat under a shady tree in the school yard. Because the distance from school and home was far enough to go back and forth, Zakira waited for hours.

Sometimes she was shopping, sometimes she waited in the school cafeteria, until Aufar came home.

To dissipate her boredom and Akbar, she often takes a walk around the school.

"Mother Aufar !" Call a teacher when Zakira walks through the office.

Zakira turned and approached the teacher.

"Mother can we talk to you for a second?"

"What's the matter, ma'am, is there a problem with Aufar ?" ask Zakira.

'There's nothing Mom. I just want to give you happy news. Then I'll sit down first."

Zakira sat on the couch in the office. There were other teachers there too.

"Oh this is Aufar's moon?" ask one of the teachers.

Zakira smiles.

''Aufar's her dad's a crossbreed, huh Ma'am?"

Zakira was a little confused by the teacher's question. Physically, Aufar has a level like a bule. His nose was pointed, his hair was brownish, he was also thick-browed. It looks like Reymond. But of course Zakira denied it.

"Hm not sir Aufar's father is a native, what's the matter?"

"Oh, Aufar's mother's biological son?"

"Yes, my real son, why?" Zakira was more and more astonished by the teacher's question.

"Oh maybe Aufar's house uses English in his daily life?"

"Not really sir. Because I don't speak English."

"Huh, then Aufar speaks fluent English from where's Mom?"this time the teacher was shocked.

"Aufar speaks fluent English?" asked Zakira who was also shocked.

"Yes Mom. I thought Aufar was speaking English at home, maybe I thought Aufar's father was bule because of Aufar's bule-like face."

Zakira smiled at the teacher's words.

"I never had a dialogue in English sir, but Aufar often watched English-language channels. I don't think he understands English, just listens. Understandably sir, I am a single parent, so pay less attention to Aufar because it is busy taking care of the household."

"Wah son mother child prodigy dong ya," said the teacher with a proud smile.

"Magic child? Zakira laughed. Why is that so sir."

"At first we didn't know about Aufar either. We provide introductory materials in English for Kindergarten students. On average they can only introduce themselves in English, it's just their name and both parents. While Aufar he can tell in English fluently in front of his friends about everyday."

Zakira widened her pupils in shock at the words of the teacher.

"So we tried to gradually give English material to Aufar by teaching him in each material. And after being given a little direction, and Masya Allah Aufar can fill the test of every material given it up to the level of grade 6 Elementary."

"Well!" Zakira was shocked.

"Really Sir?"

"Yes Mom. Because Aufar can solve the problems we provide from general material to English. We want to register Aufar at the three-month SD-level science and mathematics olympic trial in Indonesia" said Bu Halimah, principal of TK Aufar.

"God, is it true father, mother. I didn't expect my son to have such amazing abilities, even though he does have advantages over his age."

"Yes Mother, maybe all this time the mother was unaware or the ability of Aufar must be honed little by little to develop. I am sure with proper upbringing and appropriate Aufar will be one of the sons of the nation that will boast of us all."

Not playing proud and Zakira should hear the speech of the headmaster of the Elementary School.

"Aamiin.I win rarely teach Aufar science, I think children his age is not suitable for learning science. I only educate his ethics and teach teaching."

"Iya Bu, said Aufar's teacher, Aufar also memorized the Amma juz. His memory is extraordinary, May Aufar be a Qur'an memorizer because of the grace that is on him," Ms. Halimah

"Yes sir, the plan is so too."

Even because of his intelligence Aufar can already enter the 3rd grade directly at the beginning of the new school year later on the recommendation of the headmaster directly.

After speaking to the teachers, Zakira came out of the room. Along with Aufar who was also out of his class.

From a distance Zakira saw Rafli approaching Aufar. Seeing Rafli, Zakira hurriedly approached them.

***

"Aufars!" Call Rafli.

"Dad!" Aufar approached Rafli and hugged him.

"Aufar turned out to be a school here. Why didn't you tell Dad?" asked Rafli while breaking his embrace.

"Well, where did Aufar come from?" ask Aufar back.

"Dad asked the neighbors. Mother where's Nak?" ask Rafli.

"Thou Mother!" Aufar pointed towards Zakira who was walking towards them.

Rafli turned towards Zakira with a smile.

"Eh Za, why didn't you tell me Aufar went to school?"

"I forgot it."

Rafli approaches Zakira and holds Akbar.

"When did Akbar wash Za's blood?" ask Rafli.

"Two days ago."

"Well, why don't you tell me. I can keep you company."

"No need for company, I'm used to myself."

"But Za, I'm his father. I need to know when my son's washing blood."

"Oh yeah maybe next time Mas, sorry I mean not to bother you, so if only washing blood I can take care of Akbar. I don't work anyway, so focus on taking care of my kids. Rights like you work and have to take care of your mother too."

"OK next time you tell me yes."

Zakira just nodded.

"I'm on Za's day off, how about we take Aufar and Akbar to the playground, or just take a walk?"

"No need mas, just last week I brought Aufar and akbar to the mall. "

" It's okay dong. Today we go again."

"I'm tired, because for a few hours I stood waiting for Aufar to come home from school."

Rafli's face looked disappointed. But Rafli understands that Zakira is tired of having to take care of her two toddler children without anyone's help.

"If you eat first can ya Za?" tawar Rafli's.

"Oh, I'm really tired. Coming home from school I want to go straight home and rest."

Rafli's face looked disappointed.

"Well, I'll just drive you home."

"No, I hired a taxi driver to drive us and pick us up, so you don't have to bother to drive us, we're not in the same direction, right?"

Rafli stared silently at Zakira.

"Let's go, let's go home," Zakira asked as she grabbed Aufar's hand.

"Fuck Dad!" Aufar waved at Rafli. While Rafli was only speechless to see Zakira and Aufar who were slowly moving away from him.

"Zakira seems to be avoiding me, if I can convince Zakira that we can be together again" Rafli said.
