Dew Under the Rain

Dew Under the Rain
Honey, Dew

"Grow, dong dong shower the rain, dear," called Ratna who stood in the doorway while carrying a towel in her hand.

The round-eyed little girl continued to play, sometimes jumping up and down in excitement. His laughter became his own happiness for Ahmad. Because, he loved his daughter so much.

He who was washing the car also seemed to smile without asking the princess to stop the shower. "Let's go, Ma. Mumpung is still a child," replied Ahmad while continuing to rub his old sedan car.

"Papa and the same boy! It's true, the fruit fell not far from the tree," said Ratna who now looks upset with the behavior of her husband and child.

Ratna left from there, obviously she was not worried about the princess. Ahmad was not far from Dewun. The five-year-old girl was now grinning horses when Ahmad teased her, Dewun playing slide next to Ahmad.

Yes, although their house is not too big, Ahmad has a small swimming pool near the garage. Complete with slide also swing. All that he did for Dew.

Ahmad who finished washing the car then squatted towards the Dew which was busy jumping on the puddle.

"Darling, I took a shower. Papa's ready to wash the car. Your mom will be angry."

Dew nodded, then they joined hands to enter the house. Ratna was sitting folding her hands in front of her chest looking at the two who were standing expecting Ratna to bring a towel for them.

Instead of coming with a towel for them, Ratna actually looked at the two people she loved very much. Seeing Ratna's sulking attitude, Ahmad took the initiative to get Dew to seduce her.

He leaned over and whispered, "Grow, you samperin Mama gih. Hugs keep kissing, yeah. After that, ask to bring a towel here for Papa. Okay, Honey?"

A very easy-to-compact dew instantly brandished his thumb finger. Truly the son of the father of the Dew, thought Ahmad who had a triumphant smile when Dew began to step.

If she had gotten in there herself, it was obvious Ratna would have been furious. Water droplets pouring from their clothes will make the floor tiles slippery and wet, it means Ratna must mop again.

Now, Dew had already persuaded Ratna by kissing her cheek. "Ma, the cold Dew. Hugging Dew," said the girl who made Ratna's eyes shine warmly on her baby.

Immediately he hugged the Dew, then took the towel that had been prepared earlier on the shoulder of the Japanese sofa. The dew was already in Ratna's arms and was about to take her to the bathroom.

Ratna got up and was about to step into the bathroom. Dewun delivered Ahmad's message. Although still grumbling, Ratna thrust bathrobe to Ahmad.

"If it wasn't for the Dew, you'd still be cold in there, Mum!"

"Mama, don't be mad at Papa."

Sontak Ratna laughed wryly at the words of Dew which was so defensive of her father. Ahmad again smiled and then blinked his eyes at the Dew.

"Good, Honey. You are indeed a son of Papa," the inner Ahmad cheered with joy in his heart.

"Mama's not mad at you, Papa, honey. Yuk, now we take a shower."

Ahmad just smiled looking at Ratna. Ratna's small back made her want to join them immediately. Embrace Ratna's shoulder, then kiss her head at a glance.

Not to forget he kissed the cheek of an anxious Dew. Undeniably, the little thing so made Ratna smile knot.

It's over with the rain shower, now they're having dinner. Just a simple side dish cooked by Ratna. Asem vegetables, sambal terasi and fried fish served on the dining table.

Dews that do not like spicy only eat fried fish and vegetables. Ahmad is also the same as Dewun, not the one with a spicy taste. Sambal only complement the dish, to beautify the look so as not to pale.

"Mas, tomorrow to Mom's house, yeah."

"Tomorrow?" Ahmad seemed to think, he remembered there was work that was still unfinished. Finance Manager at a well-known bank in Indonesia makes it a lot of pressure, even on weekends like this.

"Yes, Pa. I haven't seen Grandma in a long time."

"Em, tomorrow Papa can only do it, yes. There was a little unfinished work in the office. It's okay, isn't it, honey?"

Ahmad turned his gaze to Ratna who was still silent. "Where, Ma? I can only anterin y'all. But, once the job's done, I'll be there."

"OKAY. But not for long, my dear."

"I'm doing it, yeah. Baby, Papa, it won't be long tomorrow. You're fine at grandma's, yeah. Don't bother Mama."

"Yes, Pa," answered the Dew who now began to chew food in front of him. Ahmad stroked the head of the Dew gently accompanied by a smile.

Ratna looked grim, it had been a long time that he and Ahmad had not visited Bogor. It was also what led him to ask Ahmad to participate. However, once again Ratna must understand Ahmad who cannot take a break from his responsibilities.

As of now, Ahmad's phone kept ringing. Tomorrow early in the morning he has to go to the office to finish the job yesterday, also it may have something to do with the incoming phone now.

Elsewhere, Marni. Ratna's mother was tidying up the plants that surrounded her house. The tall green grass, he pruned flat. While Roy, his grandfather was reading a newspaper on the porch.

The house that has this spacious courtyard, looks beautiful. The building with a sloping roof is typical of their tribe. Not to mention the displays in the house, the south sea coast painting is there. A brown elephant-shaped ceramic decoration is on the side of the entrance.

The display used to be often used Dew to land his buttocks when Roy sipped coffee early in the morning.

"Sir, I miss the same Dew, yes."

Roy goes inside and picks up the phone that was in the TV closet. Arjuna, Ratna's sister had just come out of the room with a wide yawn while stretching her hands up.

"You are, instead of helping your mother just wake up," Roy scolded the grown man who was still scratching his curly hair.

"Everal times, Sir. Take a day off."

"Yes, precisely because of the holiday you helped Mother with Father. Not even a few!"

Instead of being angry or offended, Arjuna was just a whimper. Roy was busy picking up the phone and scrolling the screen. Juna is still in second semester of college at the moment.

"Who'd you call, sir?" juna asked, his nickname was so. Except for one person who called out his name in full, Ratna. Juna peeked towards Roy's busy-looking hand.

"Growd."

"Yes, the boy hasn't been here in a long time, sir. Misses the same round cheeks." Yes, Dew cheeks are an attractive center for Juna. He always smelled Dew's anxious cheeks until the little girl cried and he stopped his activities.

"That's why you want to call them now. But how hard is this screen touched."

Indeed, Roy's phone screen is often difficult to touch. Parents often don't care about electronics, when the phone is due the day Roy lets it go. For that reason, it can still be used.

"Oh my God, sir. The screen is so hard to touch. Here, let Juna call." There was a slight crack at the end of Roy's phone screen.

Juna went back to the room and picked up his cell phone which was located on the mattress. Just right away he touched the phone picture on the green app. Juna directly uses video calls.

The first ring is lifted immediately.

"Om Juna ...!" the girl shouted from across the phone. The boy was tied his hair by Ratna while playing a mobile phone to feel at home dressed by the mother.

"Hello, Embul."

"Om, my name is Dew!" sternly with a grumble. Ratna was braiding next to the Dew hair that had been divided in two.

"Yes, sorry Om yes, Embul," teased Juna again who made the boy fold his hands on his chest and bent face.

"Where are you?" ratna asked for a moment to glance at the mobile phone and still kept busy with the rubber Dew hair ties.

"Home on. There are those who miss the same Dew," he replied, who immediately handed the flat object to Roy, Marni immediately joined the Dewun phone screen.

"Same mother I'm healthy, right?"

"Alhamdulillah, when are you here?"

"The plan is tomorrow, sir." Roy nodded.

"Grow, Grandma misses very much the same Dew. What are you doing, honey?"

"Take another sprain with Om Juna!"

"Let's sprain, even Om fortunately you do not ask to buy ice cream the same Om," replied Juna again that makes Dew more and more pouty his lips.

"Ma, Om Juna." Dew complained while pointing at Juna there. Ratna simply smiled in response to the Dew.

"Grandma hit Om Juna yeah, honey. He likes your prank, doesn't he?" Marni directly hit the shoulder of Juna who was beside her.

"Aw, Mum. Pain, Mom. I really love grandchildren more than my own children," said Juna who did not accept to be treated so.

"Indeed. Mother loves Dew."

"Curtain, Mother. There wasn't a Dew I always took first."

"Yes, that was. Your time is just as adorable as Dew. Now I'm bored every day seeing you." Marni teased him back. Marni also loves Juna very much, only sometimes Juna's behavior makes him a headache.

"Oh my God, Mom. I'm also Mom's son."

"No, you are the son of your father." Roy turned his head and tilted his body slightly.

"No. Father's son is just Ratna."

"Ck! So, who am I really? No one wants to admit to me."

"Lost child" said Marni, who drew everyone's laughter. Including the Dew that is behind the scenes. He chuckled with his mouth shut and his shoulders raised. His eyes were lost behind his smile.

"Embul, you fucked Om, yeah. Just watch out for you to come here!" threaten the nosy Juna to disturb the Dew. In fact, when he met his nephew, Juna continued to stick to Dewun. Play and take Dew for a walk on his bike.
