Chapter 33

After getting word from his assistant that Rey and Nara are today back at the company, antonio immediately calls Nara and asks her to return to the main house because he thinks Nara has not returned to the main house which is now his home as well.

Unable to dodge, Nara accepts her stepfather's request, and talks about it with Rey before they return home. "Desta's gonna take you home, I still have to be here because there's still nothing left to do." Rey explained to Nara. At first he refused but after Rey persuaded him he finally agreed.

It was getting dark, and Desta drove Nara home. For so long Nara had not set foot there it felt so strange for her to be there without Rey beside her.

His arrival was welcomed warmly by Megan and also Antonio, ohh not only they still have one person in the house that is Gaby. Although with a lazy sense, Nara must be kind to her husband's first wife.

Nara's gestational age is still young to not be so visible just that her body is somewhat contained to be Gaby's question. Nara could only answer that maybe she ate too much lately until she gained a little weight. Gaby nods in trust with what she says, while Megan keeps a close eye on both of them, fearing that something will happen to her daughter and future grandchild.

"It looks like you're quite tired after being off-duty from out of town, I've prepared a room for you, take a quick break before dinner." Said Gaby who led Nara into her room.

Nara could only nod and smile forcibly before Gaby finally walked out of the room. Nara clucked resentfully at Gaby's behavior like that. "Are you still going to do the same if you knew that I was your husband's mistress? Ck, that sucks." Nara muttered that spoke for herself.

When dinner time arrives, Megan calls Nara to go to the dining room with her. Who would have thought Rey had returned from the company and was sitting in one of the chairs there was also Gaby sitting next to Rey with her babbles issued to her husband.

Nara who saw that clenched her hands and was about to turn around but Megan who was still standing next to her held her daughter to remain calm. He also clasped Nara's hand to ease her emotions. "You don't have to be jealous to see it, remember the child in your womb." Megan's words strengthen Nara.

Nara closed her eyes for a moment and regulated her breathing she stepped over to those who had been waiting there. "Sorry to have kept you waiting for a long time." Nara then sat in front of Rey and next to Megan.

"It's okay, let's eat." Antonio started his dinner.

It looks like Gaby is deliberately taking a side dish for her husband. Rey who gets such treatment of course feels bad with Nara who is in front of her.

"Why eat like that? Are you not feeling well?" Antonio asked Nara who was seen just playing his cutlery.

"Ah... No, I'm just cutting back on my portion." Sahut Nara smiled.

"Ekhem." Rey cleared her throat to hear Nara's words like that.

Whether it was intentional or not Nara's clear speech managed to attract Rey's attention.

"At your current age, I think it's time you had a husband to look after you." Antonio suddenly said something that surprised everyone.

All were silent, no one spoke until Antonio returned to his point. "It just so happens that your business partner has a son who's not far from you, is young and successful in the business world like Rey you want to see him?" Connect with Antonio who is completely without further ado.

"Alright, papa arrange everything later I'll see him. Thank you for introducing me to a man of papa's choice, I'm sure it's the best." Nara's words that make Rey and Megan shocked.

After dinner Nara rushes back into her room, Gaby sits back in the television room while Rey and Antonio return to the study to talk about something important.

Megan soon follows Nara into her daughter's room. Nara was standing on a balcony with a gaze pointing down there. Whether what is on Nara's mind really now Megan does not understand the way she thinks, how can Nara agree to her papa offer while she has become Rey's wife.

"What are you doing?" Megan asked as she approached Nara.

"Nothing, I'm just following the game you've arranged." Nara sahut with a cynical smile.

"Don't do anything about Nara, remember you're pregnant with Rey's child."

"Did he care about my feelings right now? He was even busy with his wife without caring about my feelings!" Say Nara with eyes that start to glaze over.

"Calm down, I'm sure in Rey's heart there's no intention of her doing that, you know what her current position is? If Rey treats you like she used to, it'll make everyone suspicious."

"If that's my goal what will you do?"

"You mean what's that talk like?"

"Sooner or later I'll show you everything." Sahut Nara with a serious face.

"Don't you crazy Nara! Mama will help you as long as you're not rash."

"I want to be alone, mama get out."

Instead of having to argue with her mama Nara prefers to drive Megan out of her room, not knowing what her plan is that all Nara's words are clearly going to do. Expose everything slowly from the family to getting public recognition and get rid of Gaby from Rey's side.

"Rey Marvin Algara I'll make it mine and leave him the insignificant one of your life." Said Nara who stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself in the reflection of the mirror.

Not long after that Nara's phone rang once signaling a message coming in. The message sent by Rey told Nara to meet her ten minutes from now at the designated spot. He soon changes his clothes with minimal clothing before Nara meets Rey.
