Chapter 06's

The melodious groove of piano keys that Leon played echoed throughout the room.

Everyone fell silent to enjoy, permeating every melodious groove full of happiness that Leon tried to convey through his game.

While all the attention was focused on Leon who seemed to be shining in front of her, Aellyn instead circulated her gaze in every direction, observing one by one the faces of the guests who looked foreign to her.

Where's the pianist?

Aellyn remembers once, there used to be a famous pianist who came to Leon's eighteen-year anniversary event. Unfortunately, Aellyn even troublemaking to make the pianist upset and ended up leaving the party. Then the next day, the events of the night went viral and became a hot topic everywhere.

"Your boyfriend is not invited, don't look for him" Leona said in a sharp tone.

Yeah, the reason Aellyn used to make a fuss at Leon's birthday ceremony was because his family didn't invite his girlfriend's family and he didn't accept that.

"I'm not looking for that son of a bitch" said Aellyn no less cynical.

"Then? Are you looking for Re who is clearly beside you?" Leona glanced at Re who seemed to focus on Leon's show until she was unaware of the brothers' conversation.

Or,, Re just pretended not to hear?

"I'm looking for Maurizio Pollini's whereabouts, you see him?" Asked Aellyn who even got a sharp look from the brother. "Is Re that bad that you want to have an affair with an older man over half a century old?"

Aellyn shook her head quickly, dismissing the unreasonable speculation Leona had just revealed. "I'm still sane not to do that."

Aellyn's gaze immediately led to Leon who seemed like he was about to finish his piano game.

"My sister loves to play the piano, she's loved the piano since she was a child, even in the womb. I just hope that on her birthday, she gets a blessing that will help her reach her goals as a professional pianist."

"Isn't Maurizio Pollini a famous pianist?" Aellyn looked towards Leona. "I think this is a good opportunity for Leon." Aellyn looked back to the front after getting a nod from Leona.

Leon's game ends right after Aellyn refocuses the attention of her younger siblings.

A loud applause was heard after Leon stood up and bowed to say goodbye as the game was over.

A lot of spectators asked Leon to play back the piano but the young man ignored their call at all.

"Is that the man you mean?" Aellyn immediately turned her head as Leona patted her shoulders softly and then pointed towards the corner of the bench.

Aellyn's smile grew when she saw a middle-aged man staring at Leon with interest, the man was like a teacher who had found the right student to inherit his knowledge.

Re looked at Aellyn who was smiling without saying anything, he just wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery that he rarely met any longer.

Aellyn's smile was the most beautiful thing the world had ever seen, at least that was Re's opinion.

Leon approached his family with a big smile.

"Good, your appearance is very charming." Aellyn brandished her two thumbs, giving appreciation to Leon's play.

The young man smiled shyly getting such praise from his second brother.

Aellyn rubbed her brother's arm full of tenderness. "Sit down."

The young man nodded, he sat down beside Re and also his father.

"Mommy's glad you're here tonight. Thank you Aellyn, thank you for coming to your sister's eighteenth birthday" Damaris said.

The middle-aged woman with a gentle stature smiled at Aellyn. His gaze was so gentle, making Aellyn's chest feel tight. Really, he did not understand why he could have wasted a mother as good as this.

"Mom,," Aellyn's eyes glazed over, making them all panic especially Re who instantly took out a tissue to wipe Aellyn's tears.

Lady Damaris stood up from her seat and walked over to Aellyn. She knew her second child was in need of a warm hug from her.

Aellyn stood up and hugged her mother tightly, sobbing softly in the arms of the woman who gave birth to her 20 years ago.

They were the center of attention but really, Aellyn didn't care, she just wanted to hug her mother longer and tighter. He did not want to lose the beautiful woman a second time, not wanting anymore.

Leona was just silent to see Aellyn who was crying sobbing in her mother's arms.

A pat on her shoulder made Leona turn and find her husband hidden gently in her. "Aellyn's changed, you don't hate her anymore."

Leona did not answer anything, she just remained silent and looked down at her delicate hand that rubbed her own large belly.

Does mommy have to forgive your aunt, baby?

Re looked at his wife. He really came back like he used to. She's back to being my kind and loving Lyly.

Main Room Cayle Residence

Aellyn and Re were still awake, their achy bodies did not make them both sleepy and asleep.

Re rested his body on the headboard while Aellyn half-lying by making Re's chest as his pillow. Re hugged Aellyn's stomach, while the girl rubbed the back of Re's big hand. Both of them enjoyed time in bed accompanied by a lit TV showing a Chinese drama that is currently Aellyn's favorite.

Re's huge palm could not stop rubbing Aellyn's fine hair, the man's gaze was so deep that he looked at the wife who looked very focused on what she was watching.

"It's past midnight, don't you want to sleep now? Tomorrow you have to go to college, baby," said Re subtly with his heavy voice.

"A little while, I'm studying."

Re's frown was puzzled by Aellyn's reply.

Studying? Learn what? Since then the girl had only been watching revenge dramas, then what was she learning?

"Learn what?"

Aellyn looked up to look at Re's face. "I'm learning to bully two vain bastards disguised as my best friend and lover."

"They've dared to lie to me, then I won't let them off so easily!" aellyn said furiously, even the girl had already strangled the pillow in her arms, assuming that it was the necks of two bastards who had ruined her life.

Re smiled, he was happy because Aellyn already knew the truth about the two wok-ngan.

Actually Re was old about this, but he did not dare to say it to Aellyn considering that Aellyn used to trust the fox couple very much. He just did not want Aellyn to stay away from him because he thought that he had slandered the two girl's favorite people.

Re's big hand was raised, rubbing Aellyn's head slowly. "If you need help, just tell me."

Aellyn. "They're my business, let me settle them myself. I can do it, you don't have to worry."

"Yes, I know, my wife is really great." What the fuck?! Why did Aellyn's cheeks suddenly turn red when Re said those words while peeping at the top of her head?
