A jumbo-sized television in a Smart Classroom-room-room that is often used by students of the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Para Den, and others, for presentation-to-show ClassPoint slide shows that contain multiple choice quizzes.
It has become a tradition for the 2021 generation to start using PowerPoint as a variety of applications that are not only for presentations, but also video editing even to quizzes, without having to open special sites such as Kahoot or Quizzes. In PowerPoint provides its own room that can be used for quizzes, namely Inknoe ClassPoint. This force does tend to dislike the complicated, even when asked to make any design they only need the Canva application. Likewise, when online class, instead of Zoom, this generation is more open to video calls on Telegram because it does not collect a lot of data.
Lyra and Musa got a presentation schedule today for the Semantics course. Some of the chapters they cover are Meaning Postulates, Derivation, Zero Derivation and Inflection. They delivered their presentations smoothly, even the quiz questions they displayed on ClassPoint were not difficult, so that the atmosphere of the class becomes fun even though this chapter is actually quite complicated when only seen in the reading book.
"..., so and thank you," cried Lyra after controlling all the quiz values of her friends in Microsoft Excel. He now closed his laptop and sat down to his original seat.
The speech was followed by a not-so-riest applause from everyone in the class. Probably because the number of members of the class who missed a little. Not many people of this generation are interested in private universities, most are competing to enter public universities. The Den itself is just a small town whose income is still minimal, even there is no Mall in this city, that is why the perched university is also not as big as what it should be even though the quality of the University of Para Den is very good and can compete with other large campuses.
Just sitting in a chair and putting her laptop in a bag, waiting for Professor Lewis to close the lecture hours, Lyra got a WhatsApp chat from her excursion friend.
Ken
Lyr, run this to the sanggar huh
Lyra is typing.
^^^Lyra^
^^^^^^^
Blue tick. The sign has been read.
It was common for Ken to ask him to come to the headquarters all of a sudden. Lyra is fine. The days before were even worse. Lyra still had an Intermediate Grammar semester break, and Ken called her repeatedly. Lyra tried to deactivate her phone, but when the repeat clock was over and she tried to check her phone, there were 120 unread chats. Ken could indeed be the most exaggerated man Lyra knows on campus.
Ken is the director of the Musical Theatre club. He is a disciplined man and a perfectionist. He became the main pioneer of the University of Para Den theater club in the Metro United States. But yes, you have to be patient in serving men like him. Since the beginning of joining the club, Lyra was made dizzy by him, whether in any work program.
Professor Lewis left the class. Lyra was still sitting on her bench checking all the chats in the WhatsApp group of Musical Theater club members, trying to find out any info she missed these few days. The other students began to leave the classroom one by one, including Moses who immediately gathered with his gang to go to the cafeteria.
"Lyr, I heard you're going to be one of the main cast of the musical in the town square tomorrow?!" rosie approaches Lyra.
Rosie is a girl friend who first became known to Lyra during the student orientation period, making the relationship between the two so close.
Lyra immediately turned her head towards Rosie, ignoring her phone. "Ah, yes, how do you know?" tanyakanya.
"The samples are out, there's a picture of you there" Rosie replied with a happy smile. "I can't wait to watch it!" added enthusiastically.
Lyra returned her smile. "Yes, thank you. It just so happens that all our campus students get free tickets, after all there are rarely young people watching the theater, too" he said.
"Oh yeah, by the way you have no time to run out of this?" rosie asked as she sat in front of Lyra.
"There really isn't anything important, but this is Ken asking me to go to the hangar right now" Lyra said.
"That means something is important then" Rosie said. "Yes, tomorrow, tomorrow" he continued.
"What's up?" ask Lyra curious.
"There is, tomorrow you know for yourself, the most" replied Rosie getting up from her seat. "I go home first yes, I want to teach, bye~" he exclaimed out of the room, leaving Lyra alone.
Whoa, Rosie must have a lot of savings money, she's already teaching. But he's a pinter, any lesson can be. Not like me, the math is falling, how do you try?! Inner Lyra while watching the shadow of her friend who slowly vanished from before her.
Tau ah, what matters now is that I focus on the musical first. His mind again moved from his seat. He came out of the classroom and began walking to a place that was located quite far from the building where the class of his study program was located.
The headquarters of the Musical Theater is located in the same building as the music room and other cultural arts rooms, although separated by dark hallways that have not been fitted with lights. That is why if night comes, the atmosphere looks more like a dimension without life. The headquarters of other clubs also in the same building are the Marching Band club and the Choir club.
Since it was still daytime, there was no horror term for the place. Lyra came alone down the deserted passageway to her base. He walked quietly, accompanied by a pair of earphones in both earrings, pounding the strains of his favorite band, Evanescence, with one of his best songs, "Call Me When You're Sober".
Just getting in front of the headquarters, a woman of her age violently threw sheets of paper at her until several sheets were scattered on the floor. Lyra paused for a moment, wondering what was really going on.
"What is this?!" exclaim that woman.
"What does that mean? I don't understand!" exclaim Lyra.
"Don't pretend you don't know, it's obvious you're the secretary of the show for the proker tomorrow right?!"
"Yes, all the letters have been sorted out, even the proposal sheet I sent to the campus administration, it's complete all the stamps, nothing is wrong!" lyra exclaimed at length while examining several sheets of letters that had been thrown by his theater colleagues.
"What is that?!" yell that woman again, hurry.
Lyra frowned as she looked at the several letters that were all disheveled. "Well, what is this letter?" tanyanya's confused.
"That's a letter from the administrative body, writing all wrong, making you ashamed to know!" chirping.
"Yes, I'm sorry, Ran, maybe this is me accidentally drowsiness to make it," Lyra said innocently admitting her mistake.
Rani, the general secretary of the club of the Musical Theater of Para Den campus, still stands coldly in front of Lyra without any change to her facial expression. "I don't want to know, as soon as today the revision of the letter must have been sent to the administrative body, the show tomorrow after the day, have not asked for a signature to the rectorate as well!" shouts splashy.
"Yes, I happened to bring a laptop, let me speed it up right now!" lyra exclaimed entering the headquarters while carrying all the papers that Rani had thrown at her.
"So, the playbook?" rani asked suddenly, not removing her fierce speech style. "That's what you've been printing, a lot of revisions are told, right the same director?!" yell again
"Oh, my God, how could I forget?!" lyra exclaimed her forehead, nervously opening her laptop to fix the file.
"What's this?" murmured Lyra was silent observing the screen of her laptop which she felt was strange.
"Oh yes, mending you make the drama script first, pity for those who want to appear, later tonight is clean!" rani exclaims to leave Lyra alone inside the headquarters.
"But ...," said Lyra. He did not find the shadow of Rani who had disappeared. "Yes already," he murmured softly after that, now ruling out his letters and preferring to make a drama script.
Alone in the headquarters with only accompanied by his cellphone that plays songs belonging to Evanescence, he said, Lyra begins correcting her elaborate play that tells the combined story of five famous fairy tales in one story with the same purpose in life, "Into the Woods". This story has often been staged in Broadway musicals in the United States, even been filmed by Disney. Lyra deliberately made this story for the Musical Theatre project Para Den so that the occasional performance of the student drama Para Den adopted the story from abroad.

Too many file attachments that he managed, Lyra fell asleep in the headquarters until 5 pm. Someone shook his body, making him jerk to get up. Lyra opened her eyes. His gaze was a bit blurry as he tried to see the figure who was now standing firmly before him. Until the moment his views were clear, he was made tense by the presence of Millie, another member of the musical theatre club who was quite active in various theater projects.
"I heard from Rani that the proposal hasn't been liquid?!" exclaim Millie loud.
"Oh my God, oh .." said Lyra in surprise. He's getting nervous. He blames himself for his carelessness. It was already late afternoon, but he instead left time to sleep while trying to complete his entire file revision.
"Come, I'll go to the administration office!" exclamation Millie who happens to be for the current work program her position is as a public relations (HUMAS) event which one of her duties is to escort the acting secretary to collect the letters.
Soon Lyra and Millie made their way to the office of the campus administrative body located in the main building. Unfortunately, a door guard to the building confronted them, forbidding them to enter.
"Sorry, there's no time to come here anymore, please come back tomorrow!" seri.
"I've guessed," said Millie slowly, the clock showed at 5pm, the main building was empty, there was no one.
Lyra and Millie return to their home base. Lyra continues to blame herself, she does not stop talking about the difficulties she has experienced these days related to the cafe where she works that has been closed. Millie was silent, listening to all the complaints of Lyra.
Millie's phone rang by itself. Indicates an incoming call. Millie picked up her phone, spoke slowly with the person who called her.
"Lyr, I'm going home first huh, there's business!" exciting Millie.
Lyra nodded, allowing. Millie left the room. Lyra is now back alone and frustrated.
Just as the night was coming, every member of the Musical Theater club came to the campus to perform clean acts. They gathered on the cultural stage. Lyra resignedly received all the scathing chatter from senior club members, including peers who are quite active in this club.
"What do you want, Lyr?"
"So secretary, why not pecus?!"
"Pubar yokk his show!"
Lyra could only shut up and cry, not expecting that one community would be hostile to her just because of the problem of the proposal of the event that had not been sent to the administration, as well as the script of the drama that had not yet been finished.
Then the mood became quiet.
The crowd of students of the originally heated Musical Theater club turned charred. Lyra let out a breath of tightness, about to leave the location listlessly. At that instant a microphone lit up, a man stood on the stage singing a song that suddenly made Lyra look at the stage.
"Happy birthdays,
happy birthdays,
happy birthday to you,"
Her voice sounded heavy and sexy.
Lyra was silent without a word when she found Ken singing on the cultural stage. Ken's sweet smile actually made Lyra lose her taste, but she was also touched because she did not expect Ken would sing a birthday song for her.
Music DJ is played. Every student of the Musical Theatre club who was there now danced and sang together, continuing Ken's ballad in unison. Even representatives of members who are good at dancing Latin dance were given a special pause for their beratraksi with his Tango, even discotheque music was transformed into cha cha music for a while. When the Tango dance session was over, the other students returned to enliven the atmosphere with compact singing and great dancing like in a real musical film.
The song ends with Ken coming right in front of Lyra while carrying a giant red velvet cake with candles forming the number 24. "Happy birthday, sweetheart," said Ken smiling sweetly at Lyra, hoping that Lyra would soon blow two small fires burning in each of the candlesticks. What's more, everyone on the ground where the cultural scene was located cheered, welcoming Lyra's birthday with joy.
Lyra swallowed confusedly. Uncomprehending. How could an ordinary person like himself have a birthday celebrated by many. Moreover, the attitude of alay Ken enough to make it uncomfortable. Yes, he knew that Ken had been teasing him all this time, but this time it was the most excessive for him.
Without waiting to blow out the candle, the night wind blew by accident obliterating the two flames. Lyra thought it a miracle.
"Before, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday" Lyra said nervously, speaking to everyone around her, including Ken in front of her who was still holding a red velvet cake. "But, I really didn't expect this, I'm sorry, I have to go!" he cried while running in the other direction alone.
Lyra thought no one would follow her, but who would have thought if Ken caught up with her and tried to grab her hand.
"Lyr, please listen to me!" exclaiming Ken who managed to hold Lyra's palm. But Lyra immediately slapped him hard.
A PLACA!
"It's too much you know?!" exclaim Lyra firmly, then immediately walk quickly, leave. He no longer cared about the clean sheets he missed. He was really upset and wanted to scold anyone who stood in his way.
Ken ends up staying in place, trying to be patient despite the fact that he is also angry over the loud slap that Lyra presents for him. He could have immediately snapped at Lyra for not appreciating her efforts, it's just that he doesn't want to waste time because soon he has to set the course of the clean arena on the cultural stage while the other members have gathered there. Let Lyra go, the risk of her performance on the stage of a musical will be borne by herself.
Meanwhile, Lyra is unable to control her emotions anymore. He kept walking while carrying his backpack that carried a laptop. He did not expect that since this afternoon he was bullied by his club colleagues. Proposals have long been liquid in the campus administration since a month ago, even every invitation letter is now entirely held by the public relations to be distributed. Even the drama script was in fact has no mistakes at all but Rani makes per sentence as if wrong and must be justified.
Lyra understood that what her friends were doing was actually well-meaning. But he was too embarrassed to get all that. Am I special? think Lyra.
