For too long you ignored me until I got used to being lonely, and began to get familiar with solitude.
- Eliza-
I tried a few times not to fall for you every day. Believe me I tried. Still can't.
- Bastian-
Sometimes I'm too stupid to fall. But it's too naive to stay away.
- Reino - reino
A year passed, and soon time was left without any significant change in Eliza's household with Reino. While Bastian still admired Eliza from a distance. It was impossible for that dream to reach him.
Bastian was in a boxcar with his father and older sister. Now that their economy is improving, her brother gets a raise while Bastian already has a steady job as a singer in a cafe with a decent salary.
They are on their way to their new home. His father and brother were enthusiastic, but not Bastian. He thought all places felt the same if there was no peace in them. The reality is that even though Bastian already has a good job, it doesn't make his father turn out to be nice to him. He would only be good if he had a daughter. But now the intensity of their meeting is less because Bastian spends more time in the cafe. And that made him a little free from his father's torment.
"Let's greet our new neighbors. However, being good first will give us an advantage later," said Bastian's brother invite him to meet his front-door neighbor. Bastian according to him, he brought a large plate of watermelon fruit that had been cut before.
TING TONG'S
"Because it's weekend, I think they're at home" Bastian's brother said.
TING TONG'S
They rang the bell for the second time. The owner of the house opened the door.
"Sir Reino?"
"lapsus. What are you doing here?" reino asked Ana one of her staff at the office.
Bastian glanced at Reino and Ana alternately. His sister knew their new neighbors. He himself did not know if the man in front of him was the husband of Eliza, the woman who had made him fall in love. Although Reino picked Eliza up several times at the cafe, the man never got out of the car.
"It just so happened that I just moved into the house in front. I did not expect that Mr. Reino was my neighbor" Ana said at length.
"Ohh.." That's all that came out of Reino's mouth.
"I brought you watermelon. What if we eat together, Mr. Reino's wife is at home, right?" asked Ana while looking inside the house.
"Oh yes, come in" replied Reino letting the two of them in.
"You go home first, grab some of the soda we brought earlier" Ana whispered to Bastian. Then the man nodded and obeyed Ana's orders. He returned home and saw several cans of soda from the refrigerator.
Bastian returned with a plastic can full of soda. Not until he was at the door of Reino's house a local cat chick approached him and struggled in his shoes. Bastian stopped and looked at the cute little creature. He remembered that he still had a sausage in his jacket pocket. He had brought three before they moved home, because they did not have time to eat breakfast. Bastian crouched down and unwrapped the sausage and gave it to the kitten.
"You must be lost, have you lost your parents? Then we're the same" said Bastian, smiling at the cat.
"Here you are, apparently," Eliza said gasping.
Bastian turned towards the source of the voice. He froze after he saw the owner of the voice, not expecting to meet Eliza here.
"You? What are you doing here?" eliza asked as she approached Bastian who was still crouching and sculpting. Eliza glanced at the sausage wrap that Bastian was still holding.
"Is this your cat?" ask Bastian.
"No. He had just entered my house, because it was a pity to see him who was very thin so I bought this at the minimarket. She was following me, but she suddenly ran away" Eliza said, showing a plastic bag of cat food in her hand. Eliza crouched down in front of Bastian. He opened the can and gave it to the kitten.
"Eat a lot of sweet cats" Eliza said more like a monologue. Bastian looked at Eliza who was still focused on caressing the head of the cat.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" eliza asked as she caught Bastian looking at her.
"No. I was just thinking why we still have to meet here and in such an unexpected situation like this" Bastian replied.
"What are you talking about? Oh yes you haven't answered my question, why are you suddenly here?" ask Eliza back.
"I just moved here" Bastian replied as he pointed at his new home with his head.
"really? Then we're neighbors dong. This is my home" Eliza said, pointing to a house in front of them.
"So this is your house?"
"Bastian, why so long?? Uh there's Eliza's mom" Ana said as she greeted Eliza when she saw her there. He then took over the plastic bag that Bastian had brought.
"Good morning, Miss Eliza, we just moved into the house that was there. So we would like to invite Mr. Reino and Ms. Eliza to eat watermelon together" Ana said, explaining her intention to go to her house.
"Oh, come in first. I will follow you later" Eliza said. Ana then enters Reino's house first. At first he invites Bastian but, Bastian gives the code by hand to his brother to enter first.
"You didn't want to follow me and live here, did you?" joke Eliza. He folded his hands in front of his chest.
Bastian smiled at Eliza's question. Even though he knew that the woman was just joking.
"It's ridiculous, even I don't know if you live here" Bastian replied.
"Hehe well, don't take it seriously. Let's go in" Eliza said. They then entered the house together. They accidentally touched their arms when they walked together. Bastian's heart rippled back as he watched the woman continue to smile at him.
"Where have you been?" reino asked when Eliza had entered the house.
"I'm out of the front minimarket. Then I'll take some food in the kitchen. Sit down" said Eliza and invited Bastian to sit down.
Bastian observes Eliza and Reino alternately.
"What is this like a household life? It seemed very cold and lonely. Is Eliza unhappy marrying him?" inner Reino.
Ana is still busy talking to Reino about work that Bastian does not understand. He then moved and walked towards a large photo hanging on the wall. He watches Eliza's wedding photo along with Reino. I wonder if it is the one standing next to the woman, not the other man.
"What are you doing?" eliza asked who approached Bastian and stood next to him.
"Can I ask you something?" bastian asked and turned to the woman who was now looking at him from the side.
"What mean?"
"Are you happy to marry her?"
