Aletheia: Following the Luster of the Froth

Aletheia: Following the Luster of the Froth
CHAPTER IV

The loneliest city, Arcadia. Although often said so, in fact not as lonely as people think. When walking on public roads, many people pass by. But it is not as crowded in the capital. Sometimes people push each other forward.

In Arcadia everything seems calm. Maybe this is Arcadia's edge. Even though it is said to be a city that is not suitable for young people. It is like a village that is not trendy.

One of the universities in the city of Arcadia, also named after the city. Arcadia University. A large university, has a nice garden, also the fountain is very beautiful. There was a statue of a naked boy with bird wings on his back peeing at the top of the fountain. The water came out of the boy. Every day, all year round, he was always standing on the shower. It never stops. The one who designed the fountain sculpture had a unique taste.

Initially many had bad comments regarding this statue, considered disrespectful. But the one who finished this statue was a stubborn man. He threatened, if people keep commenting on not liking this statue, then he will make a more 'good' one'.

The owner of the university when questioned about this did not comment. The person who designed the statue was the older brother of the owner of the university.

In the end, over time, people began to get used to the statue of the impolite-stamped angel boy.

The weather in Arcadia city sky today is cloudy and dark. The temperature was cold so one had to wear thick clothes and carry an umbrella. Walk the path past the phenomenal statue of Arcadia university.

Raindrops rang out from Daniel's transparent umbrella. Although it is transparent, it is not very clear to see, it looks a bit fuzzy. The atmosphere felt like it was still five in the morning. Some were relaxed with their umbrellas, some were running in a hurry with hoodies covering their heads.

In class, Daniel usually sits in the corner. Positions that are often overlooked by teachers. But today he was sitting in front with a ginger-red haired girl. Although the girl's expression seemed uncomfortable, Gwenaelle did not throw Daniel away.

He was unwilling to show that he was distracted, it would only make himself look ugly. Being cool with everything include an insect and not being distracted will make it cooler. Then perhaps Daniel will feel unwilling to approach Gwenaelle again.

Daniel opened his mouth, "Hey, do we have homework?"

Gwenaelle glanced at him, Daniel was leaning towards Gwenaelle, if Gwenaelle had made a wrong move, he might have given her a morning kiss. So Gwenaelle pushed Daniel aggressively.

Gwenaelle: "I'm not deaf, you can talk from where you sit."

Daniel: "I just want to see your hair up close. It looks like a blaze in the middle of a sea of brown and blonde heads."

Gwenaelle rolled her eyes. "You're right. Only my hair is colored like this. It looks weird because it's different on its own."

Daniel furrowed his brows, "Not really, it looks unique."

A man entered with a large book in his hand. It looks nice and neat in view. The dark blue shirt fits perfectly with his style. It says The History. None of the students recognized the man who had just entered.

The man's legs stopped in front of the lecturer's desk, he put his book down. His amber eyes stared at the students in front of him.

"Good morning everyone." Sapa Joerrel smiled kindly.

All the students reply like amateur choirs. Everything seems confused.

"Include me, I'm Joerrel. I'm replacing Sir. Leon for a while while while he's doing health care."

Silent classes are immediately noisy with whispers between students. One of the students raised their hand.

"Sir. Joerrel, what happened to Sir. Leon?"

Others think it's weird. Sir. Leon is the healthiest lecturer at the University of Arcadia. In his sixties, he seemed to have no problems whatsoever with his limbs. In addition, his personality also seemed always relaxed and cheerful. Not showing any signs of pain. Or maybe Sir. Leon's been hiding it all along? Many theories began to emerge among the people in the class. Some closed their mouths in surprise, some rounded their eyes.

"His body is not well." Answer Joerrel.

The students stared at each other. Daniel looked at Gwenaelle. "Do you know anything?"

Gwenaelle: "No, I haven't heard anything about this." Gwenaelle furrowed her brows.

Joerrel continued, "So everyone, please work together for the next few months and pray that Sir. Leon's healing fast." Joerrel opened the ledger on the table. "Open chapter five. I heard from Sir. Leon you have a assignment in chapter five. What'sthat?"

One of the students sitting at the front replied, Gwenaelle, "Summarize, sir."

Daniel: "Damn it, I haven't summarized it."

Gwenaelle glanced at him. Since last night's incident, Gwenaelle felt a bit uncomfortable thinking about Daniel or the idea of meeting him again. Although the incident was indeed his own fault for appearing with impulsivity. Afraid Daniel would scold her with a stack of questions. But it turns out Daniel looks very relaxed and doesn't question anything, or maybe not yet. Gwenaelle almost wanted to comment that it was because Daniel preferred to perform rituals rather than carry out his duties. But he was unwilling to open the topic, so he immediately closed his mouth and opened chapter five.

"Then let's start the class."

After Joerrel said that, the back door of the room opened slightly, then a bluish silver-haired head appeared, peeking. All eyes were staring at the person who was peeping at it. It was a girl, she was startled and immediately pulled her head. Everyone is waiting for that door.

The door then opened and a girl walked in slightly bowed. He whispered softly, "Sorry.sorry.." while looking for an empty bench.

His eyes rolled here and there, confused and his face looked worried. Gwenaelle called the girl by raising her hand. Make a gesture for the girl to go towards him. The bluish silver-haired girl walked towards Gwenaelle.

The bench next to Gwenaelle was empty.

Daniel asked, "Your friend?"

"No. I've never seen him in this class before."

Daniel looked amazed, "So you memorized all the faces in this class?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Yes. The bed-head is at the corner."

Daniel laughed happily as if what Gwenaelle said was a compliment.

The silver-haired girl sat down and placed her ledger on the table. He looked down at Gwenaelle and whispered, "Thank you..."

"No problem." Gwenaelle smiles.

"All right, now we start. I hope no one opens that door again from the outside after I say class starts."

Some students laughed. The girl looked down. Gwenaelle smiled at the girl, calming her down.

***

After the lesson was over, Gwenaelle walked out of the classroom with Daniel following her. "Why are you following me?"

Daniel: "Let's have lunch together."

"I don't eat lunch."

Daniel glared, "You're dieting-fuh!" daniel's back was hit by a pile of books. All her books fell to the floor, the girl carrying the book looked panicked. That was the girl.

Daniel rubbed his back.

"Are you okay?" Gwenaelle immediately bowed and helped the girl. Daniel who was a bit reluctant also bowed. Pick up two thick books and then stand up again.

"Yes.thank you."

"Where are these books going?"

"To the chamber Sir. Joerner."

Daniel raised his eyebrows. "What a weird thing, why would he even ask a little girl to carry this many books?"

Whether the 'little girl' refers to good things or bad things, both make Gwenaelle speechless.

Gwenaelle, "Where's the room sir. Joerrel?"

"In the north building." The girl woke up with a book in her arms. He wanted to take the other book out of Gwenaelle's hands, but Gwenaelle avoided it.

"Let us help you."

They started to walk north.

The air was still there three hours ago. Even the colder it is, the clouds in the sky are also getting thicker. Daniel hid his hands behind his jacket and hugged himself. The book in his hand was also warm. The girl also slightly curled up, her sweater was not too thick, so a cold wind could still stab in. Gwenaelle wears a long brown coat with fine fur on the inside. It seems that Gwenaelle has no problem with the cold air.

"By the way, we never saw you in that class. Are you the new kid?" Daniel asked.

"Umm, yeah..."

Gwenaelle spread her hands to the girl, making the gesture want to shake hands. The girl welcomed Gwenaelle's open hand.

"I'm Gwenaelle." Gwenaelle introduced herself.

The girl paused for a moment and looked at Gwenaelle. Gwenaelle raised her eyebrows confused. Daniel stood silently watching the two girls from the side.

"Are you guys arguing who's going to come first?" Daniel laughed from behind his jacket.

The girl seemed to be scattered and immediately released her hand. "Ma-sorry."

"Is there a problem?" Gwenaelle asked.

"Ah..no." The girl answered

"Your name?" Daniel is still waiting for the answer to what the girl's name is.

"I'm Attiene."

"Alright Attiene, let's get these thick books right away. My hands are starting to hurt." Daniel walked ahead of the two girls who were still silent on the spot.

"Come on." Gwenaelle walked along.

The north building is the oldest building in the university of Arcadia. The University of Arcadia was built along with the building, while other buildings were built in the following years as needed. The building is white with a wide, crooked staircase in front of it, painted white. Some ornaments make the building look luxurious.

Attiene knocked on the door painted white. He had to knock a little harder until his hand turned red, it was a thick and large door. Attiene pushed the door.
