A Journey Of A Delusional Witch

A Journey Of A Delusional Witch
Chapter 59: Yet Another Delayed Journey

My name is Leon Leo.

I was the youngest of 10 children.

My father was the Chief of the Lion tribe. Father is very strong until his strength is recognized by all other Chieftains who make him as the leader of the Tribal Heads association.

That means Father is the King of Ferox Kingdom.

As his descendant, I dreamt of becoming strong and fighting alongside him on the battlefield. Not only me, all my brothers and sisters think the same.

Having the same dream, we all started training in order to be strong.

But destiny says something else.

While my other brothers and sisters became stronger with each passing day, I did not feel any change in myself. On the contrary, all of the Skills I possess never exceed level 5 no matter how hard I try.

I reported this to Dad.

Knowing that my skill did not improve even though I received the same training as my other brother, making Dad immediately take me to the Shaman (Shaman) who works for him.

"I'm sorry, Chieftain. But but..."

I don't know what he said because the Shaman whispered to Dad. All I know is that Dad got surprised and started looking at me with a sad look in his eyes.

"My son, maybe this will sound heavy to you... But, it seems that the battlefield is not a place for you"

What you say is the same as saying that I am not fit to fight.

Wh why? Am I not your son? Does that mean I am not talented even though I am a descendant of a King?

Dad didn't answer my question.

He just kept quiet.

The next day I stopped training with my other brother. Other than because Father forbade me, the look of pity mixed with scorn that my brothers and sisters gave me so pierced my heart.

Even Mother who initially always supported me began to get rid of all my equipment and replace thick books that I could not possibly read.

Wh why?

Why are they so quick to accept the situation to the point of trying so hard to get me off the battlefield?

Is there no other way?

There's no way I'll stay weak forever, right? Later I will become strong and fight with Dad right? I can be strong, right?

In order to prove that I could become stronger, I secretly took a sword that was in the storage room and went into the forest to hunt.

Sure, surely I can be strong if I defeat one or two Mobs right?

Keep going into the woods until my house is no longer visible. The deeper until the scent of civilization no longer smelled. I started my journey to be strong.

...

Where am I...?

When I opened my eyes, I found my hands and feet bound and my mouth covered with cloth making it impossible for me to move or speak.

The place I was in now looked like a room of damp wood and was filled with moss that grew to fill the floor and walls of the room. Thanks to the light coming in from the cracks of the roof made of weathered and perforated leaves, I was able to see around me easily.

Looking around, I also found that I was not alone.

Besides me, there are also other children who are my age who are in the same situation as me. Most are still in a state of unconsciousness while not a few of them are already

aware and confused or even afraid of the circumstances they are experiencing now.

Now I remember it back.

I'm supposed to be busy fighting Mobs in the woods... No, I managed to defeat the (Wild Golem) I encountered in the forest. Don't you? Due to exhaustion, I tried to rest under a

tree... Am I asleep?

Because our mouths were all covered in cloth, making us unable to communicate with each other. We could only look at each other with a look full of fear and question marks filled the eyes of the child in front of me.

However, if one had to guess, the current situation could only mean one thing.

Kidnaping.

As the son of a Chieftain, it was only natural that I would be the target of a kidnapping. By abducting the son of a Chieftain, the perpetrator can freely ask for a large ransom with the threat that I will be harmed or even killed.

However, seeing that I am not alone indicates that I am not their main target. I'm even starting to doubt that they know my identity.

But this also means that their target is children.

What good are they kidnapping children? If you want to ask for a ransom, isn't this amount too much? On sale? Likely anyway?

If it's a pretty girl or a strong man, I can understand.

The former can be used as entertainment and the latter can be used as manual labor.

While children?

Our bodies are weak so they are not suitable as manual laborers. We also could not dance as well as the dancers who used to perform at the big banquet.

Really, what good is kidnapping children for them?

Whoo... Whoo...

Suddenly we heard the sound of an owl. React to all the children who had realized immediately looking for the source of the sound, it did not take long until I finally found an owl with white fur

snow with both of its big eyes was peering out from the gap of the roof. After a satisfied peek, the owl immediately pulled its head and flew away.

...what was that?

Not long ago.

There was a noise from the outside that made us all surprised and even woke up those who were still unconscious. From the sound that was heard, it was as if a fight was going on out there.

Simultaneously, a pungent scent of blood began to smell in the air.

"They are only three people. Quickly finish them off!"

"Basic******, don't expect you to be able to stand up again once I'm done with you!"

"There's no way I'm going to lose to a Lizardman slave like you!"

So the kidnappers are being attacked. Not to mention that only three people attacked. I also heard them mention the Lizardman slave. As I recall it is rare for a Lizardman tribe to become

slave. If anything, they were Gladiators who lost the duel.

That meant that the attacking party was indeed strong even if it was only three people!

Since it was only three people, they might just be Adventurers or even Otherworlders Adventurers who were indeed eyeing the kidnappers?

It didn't take long before the sound of the fight to subside until it finally disappeared. Unknowingly I and the other children held their breath waiting for the outcome of the fight that only we could hear.

Brak!

Suddenly the wooden door that separated us from the outside world just crumbled. All eyes were on the man who smashed the wooden door.

What we saw was a knight with Full Armor in dark black. In his hand was a small shield that he seemed to have used to break down the wooden door to shreds.

For wearing the Armor that covered his entire body, it made me unable to tell whether he was a male or a female. Even my nose was unable to recognize her gender because it seemed that the Armor she used also covered her scent.

"Are you guys okay?"

Following the knight was a green-haired woman carrying a bow on her back. At first glance he looks like a human. But the jewel attached to his eel tells him that he is from another race.

Are there any races that have crystals growing in their eels?

"Calm down, you're safe now"

The words she spoke were able to calm the cries of the other children as she untied us one by one while the knight stood guard at the door.

Despite waiting, my bond was finally released as well.

"thank you. If not for your arrival, do not imagine our fate in the future"

"It's okay... It's safe now. The bad guys are no more"

Ah, he's a good man. Different from anyone else I've ever met, his words were truly sincere about our safety.

After all the children had been released, we were taken out of the room that was holding us. While outside, I found that the place we were held was a kind of slum that had been left in the middle

the thick forest.

As I was busy looking around, I found a Lizardman girl with gray hair and black scales with a collar around her neck and her bridled mouth was busy stripping the gear off

people who lay bleeding.

Taking a closer look, I finally realized that the people who kidnapped us were all from the Human race.

A human? What do Humans want from abducting the Beastman's children?

"It seems that it's all... Glaza, is there anything else?"

Whoo!

"Well, that means it's all..."

So the owl is a Familiar. Looking again, there was a symbol of an eye with three horns on its chest.

"...kids, we're going to the next town soon. When we get there, you'll be back to your family soon"

All the children cheered in joy when they found out that they had survived and would return to their families.

Families...

"Excuse me, I'm actually..."

...

Huh..how can it be like this.

I was initially happy because in the end our train was stopped by a herd of bandits. I know this is supposed to be creepy. But to me bandits are nothing more than bags of walking treasure.

Not to mention I've found their nest.

Last time I went into a bandit's lair I got five fresh slaves... Well, two of them are out of use anyway... Anyway I expect delicious loot from them.

What did I get?

There are some gold bags. But the biggest one was a room full of Beastman children. Pure and mixed blood.

I should be happy about this.

If I take them home, I can make them slaves and train them as I wish.

Not to mention the little girls who were of mixed blood. Those people with special tastes are more than you think.

It's just... Grandma is with me now.

Which means I should behave like normal people do when saving children from bandit nests.

Restore them.

Seriously.

The first car will be driven by... Victoria. While the second train at the rear will be driven by Zweite.

And... Guess who was among the rescued children?

"How can those bandits get a Chieftain's son like you?"

Sitting before me was a boy from the Lion tribe. The clothes he was wearing were clothes no longer looked luxurious as they were already dirty by the mud and other impurities.

From the dress model, I guess it was a kind of simple Armor that was usually worn by noble children when they were about to practice.

His young self made him look more like a cat than a mighty lion.

"First, let's hear your story first..."

Following the advice of Grandma who was now sitting next to me, the lion boy, Leon started talking...

Long story short, he who could not level up his Skill no matter how hard he practiced tried to prove that he could still level up by defeating Mobs. Exhausted, he fell asleep and when he realized he had been captured by bandits.

"You're reckless enough for a Chieftain's son"

"Ughs... But, but I want to be strong!"

Huh... This type of boy is troublesome. They were usually the type that would receive a suspicious item from a clearly suspicious person with the pleasure of origin the item could give them strength...

The item?

"Young man, does your father know why you are unable to raise your skill level?"

"My father has brought me to a Shaman. He whispered something to Dad that made Dad ask me to give up on training"

"That's it..."

Grandma then looked closely at Leon while muttering something. Out of curiosity, I also took a look by using [Mana Sight] on him.

"Wow... It's..."

What I saw was chaos.

Mana flow in him is very chaotic like a pipe flow that is installed carelessly and filled with leaks here and there.

Anyway the Mana inside him is so ambiguous that I don't know what I'm actually seeing.

"grandmother..."

Grandma then shook her head "He's impossible to help".

"W-what is really different about me? Why can't I get stronger?!"

None of us can answer that.

What Leon experienced was an unusual occurrence to the point that Grandma just didn't know how to.

As I said before, his body was like a pipe line installed by amateurs that caused him to experience leaks and blockages here and there.

No wonder if he was unable to increase his skill level even further because all the resources he needed to level up if not blocked were wasted.

If you want to cure it, then you have to fix all the blockages and leaks manually. Which would be much easier to replace with a new one.

"Really, what exactly did your parents do while you were still in the womb?"

"That-that's..."

Well, there's no way he could know the answer.

"Young man, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try. It is your body that does not allow you to develop"

Grandma's words were harsh. But it's necessary.

You can't give her false hope. All he needs now is to accept the reality.

"Why! What's wrong with me!"

"Leon, I'll be honest with you. If you want to 'cure' then the only thing you can do is change your whole body!"

Hearing this, Leon fell silent.

His body was squeezing as if his entire dream was shattered before him.

With this sad and awkward atmosphere, we continued to advance towards our next destination.

...

Walking together with Sisteen, we both left the city heading to the construction area that was between Gata City and the Ibis Dungeon.

About a week and a half ago.

Suddenly there was a large group of hundreds of people who came to the city of Gata to seek refuge.

After being questioned, they claimed that they were all from the Narsist Kingdom who came out of their own Kingdom because the situation there was no longer safe for them.

At first I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How not? Narsist Kingdom and Drakon Kingdom were both at opposite ends of the continent. Not to mention there are two other Kingdoms and a vast desert separating these two kingdoms.

Being able to get here with this much amount was something that was not easy to believe.

To deal with this problem, the leader of the Refugees named Bleach. Together with Mayor Lambert began to discuss what actions should be taken.

Since the city of Gata was already full of residents from the beginning, it was impossible to accept them entering and living within the city walls. Not to mention remembering that their home kingdom is currently flying the war flag to all the existing Kingdom.

It was presumably impossible for the residents of Gata City to take their existence for granted.

Therefore, a plan was proposed to build the countryside for them outside the walls.

The first place to build the village was the area near the Ibis Dungeon.

When I asked Headmaster Alfred who was also at the time of the discussion, he told me the real reason why the place was chosen.

"...I know this might sound cruel to you. But please understand... The reason why the place was chosen, so that if only Witch Lavender changed her mind and instead attacked the city..."

So the first place that will be affected is the new village.

It was true that their Kingdom was the greatest enemy in the continent right now. However, the sin of a kingdom cannot be borne by its people. Moreover, they were refugees who only wanted to search

a new place that can be called a home.

In the end the decision was not in my hands.

"The construction is pretty fast too"

Said Sisteen who was amazed at the speed of construction that was in front of us.

Only a few days since the construction was done, there have been many building foundations that have stood and there is even a half-finished building.

All that is natural and can happen because here there is a Skill that is able to make everything fast and easy.

But I still find it hard to believe because Skill alone can make the construction of a city look like an easy matter.

To be able to build near the Ibis Dungeon, it would obviously need permission from its host first.

Since the Lavender Witch was known to be away, I thought it would take some time until our permission was obtained. But who would have thought that permission would come so soon.

Not to mention...

"To allow building a city just so he could build a shop... I was wondering what store he'd open"

"Because she's a witch...Maybe a magic supply store?"

We walked among the buildings we were building. Some will be used as a home while others will be transformed into

business place.

Based on the blueprint, the new city will be linked to Gata City and become a new district that will focus on trade and entertainment.

Because the place is adjacent to a Dungeon, it is only natural that most existing goods sold will be related to the equipment and needs of Adventurers and buying and selling materials obtained from within the Dungeon.

"Turbo, look!"

Sisteen who walked slightly in front of me pointed towards a large construction whose position was right in the middle of the new city.

The constitution seems to have just finished digging the soil which will later be used as a basement and now they start installing the foundation.

It seems that many workers are busy with their respective work to finish the building.

The most prominent among them was a girl with short green hair with exotic skin and wearing a carpenter uniform different from the others. The main feature that stood out from him the most was a purple gem that was on his eel.

He seemed to be serving as a foreman and was busy commanding the other workers.

"Miss Quin!"

"Hmm? Oh, who if not Turbo and Sisteen! Please don't tell me you guys came here for a date because then you failed as a man"

"Please don't joke like that. We're here to represent the Iron Sword Guild to see the development progress"

The Quin... She is one of the Golems made by the Lavender Witch and works as her loyal Servant.

"Haha... Sure oes. Only a madman would ask his girlfriend out in a noisy and dangerous place like this"

"Haha..." Has everyone treated Sisteen as my lover? It's true that in the real world we even live together. Sisteen also met my parents.

But that's because he had suddenly moved all his stuff to my house that he had an address out of nowhere and Sisteen who suddenly claimed to be my lover when my parents came to visit.

I don't know where he learned it, though, but the acting that Sisteen did at the time was so perfect that it successfully convinced both my parents that she was the ideal princess who of course made both my parents immediately accept her as their daughter-in-law.

Damn, if this is how it could be unknowingly we were married.

"So, if you may know, about at this speed when will this city be finished in the wake?"

"Hmm. if it continues this way without any incident that will delay development. roughly within a month the city is already habitable. Uh, Furniture Master said that he called Carpenter from another town. If they arrive next month, the city could be half-finished"

"Wow, that fast?"

"Yes, it is also at most only the city center and around it. The most recent suburban area will be built in conjunction with the construction of the city wall"

After all building a city until it is habitable in just a month is a big thing.

I don't know how much money has been spent. But obviously not a little money has been spent for the sake of building this city.

"By the way. If I may know what shop does the Lavender Witch want to open?"

"Oh, are you curious?"

"If you don't want to say it's okay. But if asked curious or not, obviously I'm curious"

"Haha... That's just natural. Moreover, you are an acquaintance of Lif. If you want to be a regular customer, you might get a permanent discount"

"Oh, are you serious?!"

"Of course!"

As we were engrossed in talking, Sisteen suddenly interrupted with a sharp look in her eyes.

"Wait a minute! Can you tell me what store to open before giving Turbo a discount?"

"Ah, right. Almost forgot... The building behind me will later become a brothel..."

Sisteen hit me hard in the stomach and dragged me away. Night in the real world... I don't want to say it.
