Chaptre 67. Press Conference

A young girl walks down a grove of plants in the forest. His strength was no longer strong to run away from some men who were chasing him.

But the girl gave up. He continued to run out of the forest to meet suburban residents.

He set his breath. He hid behind the bushes first before continuing his escape.

"How's this? The girl disappeared! Mr. Julian will definitely be very angry at us." exclaimed a large tall man dressed all in black.

"Continue searching until you can. He must not be far from here." cried the other man.

The girl closed her mouth in disbelief. "Mr Julian? So, what's been holding me this whole time is on Mr Julian's orders?"

The girl nodded quickly. He watched the men before he finally got out of the bush and asked for help. It's dark. He must survive.

That girl is Belinda. The cloned girl Julian and Zara used to trick Helena.

Ever since the news of Helena's arrest broke, Julian locked Belinda up in a remote place to avoid suspicion by the authorities. But after a long time in brackets, Belinda finally managed to escape today from the care of Julian's men.

Belinda ran to the highway. He deliberately stood in the middle of the road to stop passing vehicles. Accidentally a car brakes suddenly because it sees a girl in the middle of the road.

The driver got out of the car and wanted to curse the girl who nearly killed him.

"Hey, what are you doing? Do you want to die?"

The girl looked down. He pleaded for help from the man, who is in his 40s.

"Please, Sir! I was kidnapped and persecuted." asked Belinda.

The man watched Belinda for a moment.

"You're sure you don't want to cheat?" The man took a firearm from behind his black suit.

"No, Sir! I am not a criminal! I'm a kidnapping victim! Help me!" Belinda looked up at his face. He begged to be saved.

The man glanced at Belinda's face as if he knew her.

"No way!" muttered the man.

"Please, Sir! I beg! I'm afraid those people will find me!" Belinda's chaotic appearance grew chaotic with tears now drenching her cheeks.

"Well, then get in the car!"

"Good, Sir. Thanks again." Belinda walked quickly into the car and huddled there.

The man turned around and got into the car. He drove his car to a house on the outskirts of town.

Today, Roy will hold a press conference at the office building of Avicenna Group. Roy and his team invited several journalists and also online media to cover the press conference.

Roy stood firmly in front of the media who were ready to record every word that came out of Roy's lips. Lian and Ben stood some distance away from the stage and watched Roy anxiously.

Lian hopes that today's press conference can improve this increasingly tapering situation. Roy's situation is not good plus the image that is now attached to himself and his family.

For this reason, the guard was tightened throughout the Avicenna Group building. Ben also made sure Roy's safety was maintained by checking all media crews who came with the invitation. Not just any media covered today's press conference.

After a long silence, finally Roy ventured to appear to face his enemies. Roy took the microphone and began to regulate his breathing.

"Good day everyone..." Roy started his speech.

"I'm Vincent Roy Avicenna. As a representative of the Avicenna Group, I would like to apologize profusely for what has been in the news lately regarding the case of my mother, Helena Avicenna."

The flash of the camera flash is pointed at Roy.

"I know that the crimes committed by my mother were unforgivable. Now my mother is undergoing legal proceedings and will be sentenced in accordance with the law in force in this country."

Lian clutched her hands together. He knew it would be hard for Roy.

"I knew that if the prison sentence my mother was going to serve, she would not be able to return the victim she had lost. But ... are you going to blame everyone for what happened?"

"Am I guilty just because I was born from the womb of a murderous mother? Why is everyone corrupting us? I don't live alone. I don't live alone. There are many people who depend their lives on this company. There are many people who need to be helped by these innocent doctors. Why should you blame them? Why should this company be closed for a while? What's wrong with the employees of this company?"

Lian and Ben looked at each other. They felt the heavy burden that Roy felt.

"On behalf of my mother, I apologize to all the victims and to the families of the victims who have been hurt by my mother. I beg you to no longer judge this company and also the doctors who do work in the way of good."

Roy came off the podium and headed to the front of the media. Roy knelt down and squeaked there.

"Please don't you punish our breadwinners!!" exciting Roy.

"Let them keep working and fighting to help others. The doctors are innocent. They struggle to support their families. Please don't punish them."

Roy bent his body. Lian and Ben are very satisfied with the action taken by Roy.

"Today, I would like to announce that ...the remaining shares I own will be shared with all Avicenna Group employees who have contributed to advancing this company."

Lian smiled proudly at her husband. He hopes that after this press conference, there will be many people who are willing to support Roy regardless of the criminal case that his mother is facing.

In his study, Julian watched a live broadcast showing the figure of Roy, his sister who was talking in front of the media. Julian growled annoyed because it turned out that his brother immediately got a good response from the audience.

Sympathy for Roy began to arrive. Julian's starting to get confused. Roy's ploy to seek support finally came to fruition.

"Damn! How could people turn around in Roy's favor? I can't let this go on." Julian kicked down his desk.

Leon just kept silent to see his master's behavior. Actually he wanted to tell me about Belinda who managed to escape. But it turns out Julian's mood is not good to hear bad news. So Leon decides not to tell Julian.

"Leon!!!"

"Yes, Sir."

"What do you think I should do to face my sister?"

"Eh?" Leon scratched his nape.

"Don't tell me you don't have any plans to help me!"

"Sorry, Sir. But in my opinion .. you should not do anything until the situation is conducive."

Julian seemed to think. He was confused by the idea given by Leon.
