Detective Haezel

Detective Haezel
CALL ME MAS!

"Where's Mbok Sum, May?" Haezel asked who had entered the kitchen, then opened the refrigerator to fetch cold water.

"So he said he wasn't feeling well, Mr. Ezel! So May told me to take a break first," said Mayra, whose hands are deftly wiped one by one from the shelf, and then arranged it in the kitchen set cupboard.

"Sir again! I forgot, what did I tell you to call?" Haezel had approached Mayra, then the man leaned against the kitchen table and did not stop looking at Mayra who remained focused on doing her work.

"The word Budhe can't call Mas to Mr. Ezel," Mayra said.

"Why can't you?" Haezel furrowed both of his eyebrows.

"Yes. because Mr. Ezel is not May's car!" Mayra looks wrong, before then the girl slightly tarried when putting the plate, until the plate misses and almost falls to the floor. Luckily, Haezel caught it and the plate did not break into pieces.

"Congratulations!" Mayra stroked her own chest while breathing a sigh of relief.

"Not salting that, May! I'm not gonna bite you!" Tempta Haezel while thrusting the plate he had caught on Mayra. But just as Mayra was about to pick it up, Haezel instead twirled her hands and teased Mayra once more.

"Sir Ezel!" Mayra is still trying to take the plate that continues to turn Haezel to and fro until Mayra is confused.

"Call me first!" Haezel applied the terms and still did not stop flirting with Mayra.

"Sir Ezel!"

"Tetot! Still wrong!"

"Mas Ezel!" Mayra finally made Haezel review a big smile until the row of teeth of the man was clearly visible.

"Repeat it again!" Haezel's orders to Mayra.

"Mas Ezel, could you please return the plates?" Pinta Mayra who again made Haezel review a big smile. Looks like the detective is very happy.

Haezel did not return the plate to Mayra, but instead put it directly into the kitchen set.

"Not sleeping?" Haezel next asked Mayra who now swiped the glass and spoon.

"Later to bed if all the kitchen work is done, sir!" Mayra replied without looking at Haezel.

"Sir again!" Haezel was now crossing her arms and staring anxiously at Mayra. All the burden of work and Haezel's complicated past seemed to disappear as Haezel stared at Mayra's tiny face.

What a strange feeling!

But Haezel likes it!

"Eh, yes!" Mayra grimaced and blushed.

"Yes what?"

"I'm sorry, Mayra called me wrong, sir-"

"Eh, I mean Mas," Mayra corrected her sentence.

"Let you consistently call me Mas, what should I do?" Haezel asked next who was still staring intensely at Mayra.

"meaning?" Haezel frowned confusedly.

"Yes!"

"Mass husband!" Aileen chuckled before then the mother of one child came out again from the kitchen after taking one glass of warm water. Kak Aileen's laughter was still heard echoing, until the woman disappeared into her room.

While in the kitchen, the atmosphere suddenly became quiet. Until finally Haezel yanv still curious again open his voice and ask Mayra.

"Right as Brother Aileen said earlier, May?"

"Huh? What, Sir?" Mayra asked confusedly.

"I have to be your Mas, so you can consistently call me Mas?" Haezel clarified his question. Mayra rounded her eyes.

"Mas doesn't have to mean Husband! Mas's call can also be aimed at older brothers or brothers" Mayra explained to Haezel.

"But I'm not your brother, May!" Haezel reminded Mayra.

"Therefore Mayra called sir just to be polite and not presumptuous, sir!"

"Like Mayra called Mr. Cliff and Mr. Galen," Mayra continued, again stating the reason that really makes Haezel anxious now.

"It could be your reason, May!" Haezel rattled Mayra's unsettled hair immediately made Mayra blush and misbehave.

"May's hair is falling apart, sir!" Mayra's great-grandson took off her hairband and was about to re-bind it. But Haezel immediately blocked Mayra's hand and prevented her.

"Your hair is good!" Praise Haezel who still blocked Mayra's hand and stared fixedly at Mayra's tiny face.

"Why was it never broken like this?" Haezel asked again without even turning her gaze to Mayra.

"Ge"

"Ge-rah, Sir!" Mayra replied stammered.

Haezel approached Mayra, then tucked the girl's hair behind her ears.

"The job's all done, right? Go to sleep and don't stay up!"

"School tomorrow!" Haezel rubbed Mayra's cheeks at a glance before the man came out of the kitchen and left Mayra who was now staring silently. Mayra's heart rate is like running a marathon right now.
